Hello!

After 90 days on HRT, my sense of smell has achieved a whole new, and someone disturbing, level. Men either smell just bad, or are wearing enough body spray to make me gag (not exaggerating), and some women wear waaayyyy too much perfume. At least the perfume just makes my nose itch, like a pre-sneeze.

Anyone else notice they have new superpowers?

At 5 I forgot who I am. Fortunately, who I am protected me all these years until I remembered. Whatever else happens, I will live the rest of my life whole.

Completely!

3 months into HRT and there are times I will smell someone's perfume/cologne or food and just instantly get an upset stomach.

That said, delicious smells are also much more enjoyable! I can walk into the store and smell the fresh flowers aisles away. They are amazing!

Superwoman!

Yup.  That is about the point, 3 months in, where my sense of smell and taste went bonkers.  Many men had a really cloying musky scent.  Perfumes became either pleasant or irritating, but much stronger response than I was used to.

I also had a most unusual experience dining out, at a high end steakhouse.  The flavors seemed brighter and much more intense.  I was delighted with the taste of things, and became... very enthusiastic...  I'm pretty sure I experienced a female orgasm at the dinner table!

Things have settled down to just be my new normal now, although I certainly enjoy tastes and scents more than prior to HRT.
Earth my body, water my blood, air my breath and fire my spirit.

My personal transition path included medical changes.  The path others take may require no medical intervention, or different care.  We each find our own path. I provide these dates for the curious.

I'm a gender confused guy who lives an hour north of Seattle.
I believe that I was influenced by DES. I have crossdressed in public a handful of times, see avatar picture (enhanced with FaceApp).
I don't plan on transitioning, no GRS, FFS, nor BA.
I consider myself TransFeminine. But reserve the right to change my mind at any time.  ;D

Interesting 'cause I haven't notice this.
I have yet to feel anything different from HRT.  I either was the way already for a long time, or I am not catching on!

Same here. I have not noticed any change in my sense of smell, but then I always had a keen sense of smell.

Many people under the influence of estrogens report a heightened sense of smell. I guess it really depends on your starting point for anyone to notice a change.

On a side note, many ex-smokers have recovered their sense of smell and they have coined the term nose-blind to describe their sense of smell when they were still smoking. From this we can say that our sense of smell is not constant and depends on our environment and personal preferences.

Seems to come and go, or I could just be getting used to it.

I must be going to wrong steak houses. I want one too. Seriously typically 3 nice steakhouses a week and so far eh.. it's an ok steak.

I experienced this sensation about 35 years ago, after I stopped smoking 3 packs a day!  Not only did I experience a smell "explosion", but a similar experience with my sense of taste!
