A day early for you perhaps but I like the birthdays that are spread over a few days, more drama!!  Also if I didn't say it to people when it comes up I'd probably forget by the next day...

Of course you do have an advantage where you live in New Zealand with being on the other side of the International Time Line, it is about 11:23am there on a Tuesday morning February 5th!   

Here where I am in Alaska USA it is of course still Monday February 4th and 1:23pm and still a day before my birthday....

Yes, as you stated, I also like to "milk" my birthday celebrations for several days... more cake, more fun, more celebration!!!!
