As title says, I am finally freed from my curse of having to present male at work!  ;)

I went to the human resources department to explain my transition progress (they love hearing about it we often end up chatting for a long time!) and issues regarding me still having to use the men's changing room... especially as I'm growing some noticeable breast tissue!  :P

My work clothes have been relocated to a room near an unisex restroom that I'm now allowed to use to change from city to work clothes and vice versa! They've also granted me access some doors (that others don't have) on my access card so I don't have to go through any of the gendered changing rooms/restrooms. Also a new locker is coming next week to store personal things in... like... just for me!  :D

As I got all these privileges, I've begun presenting a lot more female (was presenting androgynous before) in my choice of clothes and makeup (especially mascara). Also not afraid to let go of my male mask and live the work life as the real me!!

The only thing left would be... my name tag on my work clothes... but that's a minor detail I'll eventually get new ones with my new name on them! Also I'll be getting the female uniform... uhm... I might have a bum problem inciting them looks... already getting them sorta...  :-\ :P

I feel so very lucky to have such a supportive workplace and friends! Not so much for my family but... well... my friend circle is my new family!

Dear Alyssa:
Wow-whee
You have reported such wonderfully affirming news for you and it is good for our other transitions here on the forums to read about companies and HR departments that are very accepting of your transition journey and the accommodations that you made for you.

Be certain to count you blessings because there are still many work places that would not be so eager to make such remarkable arrangements.

Continue on in your journey with confidence and affirmation.... knowing that your company is behind you with their support.
I am eagerly awaiting for your next update and to read the joy in your posting when you get you new name badge and your new work uniform!!!

Thank you for treating all of us to your fantastic good news report.
Hugs and well wishes,
Danielle
