The worst part about Delta (thanks to their love affair with ancient MD80s) is being stuck in Detroit when your 30 year old plane breaks down.

Which reminds me of one of my favorite scenes from Kentucky Fried Movie:

LOL yeah I hate Delta. I've seen some bad things with United but first class with them is not bad.

What? Are they not managing too well without me? Been gone since 2008 used to work the kiosks and Medallion first-class checkin a lot! Father worked for United . . . lol he didn't like them either!

They used to make us agents work *enforcement* at the head of the TSA queue in Atlanta and count FANNY PACKS as the one allowed carry item . . . thankfully didn't last too long girl were those people PISSED!
"But it's no use now," thought poor Alice, "to pretend be two people!
"Why, there's hardly enough of me left to make one respectable person!"

Wow seriously. When we went to Italy we had a variation of the fanny pack that went under the pants to hold the money to protect from pickpockets but I don't recall wearing them at the airport.

One of these days I'll buy a Cessna and get my pilots license so I can swear off the airlines all together.

@NatalieRene I did an *edit* on post above can someone tell if embedded link below works (or not) can ya guess which is me?
If so then click on "Attached Images"  ;)

The only true adventure, fun airline is now a part of history . . . Facebook has many nostalgia groups dedicated to it we all miss our Pan American World Airways! Wanna see my class graduation group photo? How many other companies do you know that can claim so much devotion and notoriety?

I used to fly with Pan American.  But for a long time, Lufthansa was considered the best, they are now junk, too!(I used to be on the road 80% of my time to teach seminars)

Compared to United, Lufthansa still is better!

My Aunt used to work for them. I have another Aunt that has been working for United for years.

Only thinking about the actual airline...

I used to fly 200K - 300K miles per year on TWA. My multi-million miles there meant nothing to American Airlines when they acquired TWA...

I have shared this on other threads, but to repeat, my favorite TSA story is prior to TSA Pre-check, but with the back scatter xray, when I would present male, and they pressed the blue button, 4 times out of 5, I would get pulled for private screening. In a room with 4 men, one of them would roll down the waist of my pants and then stick his hand into my crotch. OK. That is not so fun so far. But the look of surprise on their face, and then my joy when I said, "Surprise! Nothing there....!" THAT was the fun part. After multiple times, they suggested to me to ask the agent to use the pink button, and things got much better. And Pre-Check has made it REALLY easy...

A less fun TSA story: I came through TSA presenting female (I thought), but apparently not enough. Got pulled aside for additional screening, but not in the private room. A guy rubs his hands across my chest, and says loudly, "Why are YOU wearing a bra?" My frosty response was, "For the same reason as anyone else: Support and Modesty." Not my favorite TSA day...
