Good afternoon from snowy (I love snow) Maryland!

I have finally told more people about the true me! I told my supervisor - who then came out to me as gay, but then retired before being able to follow through on supporting me, then told her (and my) new supervisor, who said she sort of knew - WHAT? THE MAKE UP AND CARRYING A PURSE, AND SHAVING MY BEARD OF 36 YEARS, AND WEARING YOGA PANTS AND WOMEN'S SHIRTS LET IT OUT??

I guess it does. anywqy told a few people, like a half dozen friends and I am ready for the big step.

Dear Marcie:
I am so very happy to read your "happy" report about your recent and various coming-out announcements..... as you have undoubtedly experienced, it is like a big weight is lifted off of your shoulders and each time you make another announcement it will start to become less stressful and easier for you. No more secret to hide.

Oh yes.... I love the SNOW also, but of course I live in Alaska !!!

I can understand the anxiety of telling anyone your transgender. LOL, I remember telling the nurse and doctor and how tough it was and that was a year ago. I kinda gauge my Transition Awareness Process by my facebook account. I never was into having a lot of so called friends on FB so it has been kinda easy to reduce the male page and either friend old friends on the female page or delete or block depending on their response to my transition.

While I still have the guy name I am now female on my license so that's a big step. I present full time and have since 12/1. I still try to proceed at a comfortable pace. Things and perspectives have changed a little and even surprise me at times.

Congrats girl. The coming out thing is always a bit nerve racking but it does get easier. Proud of you for doing it. When you see Moni again smack her for me then give her a hug. Tell Elvira? hello also. I think that's her name. it's been awhile since that dinner.

@Cassi - It is good to see you back and engaging more than before. Good job and congrats on you license name change and going full time.

That is amazing! You are braver than I am. I have to ask though, did you have a funeral for the beard? 36 years is 6 times longer than my first marriage... This speaks to at least a moment of silence.

Hi Marci, congratulations on telling your coworkers. I came out to my management team last week and told the board of directors' chairperson on Monday. Still have a long way to go telling the remainder of my board and the general membership.

Thanks, Moni. The Chair of the Board of directors wasn't really surprised. She had noticed my dress style had evolved. She commented I looked quite different from when she first met me.

Oh Ricki - I think others did, I was happy to be me silly! no funeral for me, but no one recognizes me at first! good and bad
