Hey, did you read the page (you can search for it on this site) on "the good things about being transgender"? That is another angle in getting others to accept you. One, theory is that the TG hormone accident actually double wires our brains somewhat, increasing our intelligence. I was shocked for weeks after reading in that list things I would never have associated with TG. Tendency for higher intelligence, for higher creativity, for fashion sense, for career success, for less interest in sports were listed. These I recalled were ALL things my closest friends had said were the things they most liked about me ... and were also the things I most liked about myself. Oh the shock to see that TG is not all about being really a girl inside, but also an interesting girl.
This perspective might help the judgemental to accept the real you. TG is a challenge, but often a real gift. If they liked/saw those traits in you, they were liking part of the the transgender you without knowing it.
