Hi,

I wrote in several other forums, spoke many times to my endocrinologist and therapist, but I sadly havent found any answer to my problem. I'm 3 years in hrt and had very got results in the first 18 months and I passed nearly 100%. First I was on patches, then changed to pills because my e2 levels were very low, but they remained so and I asked for gel. My e levels first were to high ( 600 pmg) and so my dose was reduced. my levels are now in the upper female range, though I am on a very tiny dose.
I was on spirinolactone for the most part of my transition and lately changed to androcur, because of all the effects I noticed and the dry skin I linked to it. I'm also trying progesterone now. But sadly I dont see any changes for the better.

over the last year I encountered the following issues and it just gets worse every day. I just have a fourth of the normal female testosterone level, so it just cant be because of this:

-lose of fat tissue, though I eat alot ( thyroidlevels are midrange)
- lose of hair
-increased bodyhair
-shrinking breasts
-new facial hair ( I barely had any before transition)
- heavy moodswings

mostly because the lose of fattissue I look very androgynous or even male in my face and my hands and feet lost all femininity. Not to speak about my toralso.
the chanfes are incredibly obvious and I have problems at my work, myrelationship suffered and I dont pass all the time.
I suffer and I dont know why this is happening to me, neither do the people supporting. me.
is there any possible way, that estradiol loses effect on the receptors over time, or that receptors for it regulate down? Or could there be any other reason?

please help me 😔

My guess is drop the progesterone for a while to see if it is the culprit. Female level E & T should not produce the effects you described.

What does your endocrinologist say?

If you're on a very tiny dosage, I would as the question when where your levels checked. If they were checked a few hours after you took a dose, the reading could be false and your levels are way to low. I am on pills and my levels are check before I take a dosage which is 24 hours after the last dosage. Also make sure what is being tested is estradiol and not total estrogen. E2 is estradiol but verify that those are the numbers you're getting.

It also sounds like the blocker isn't working correctly for you and you testosterone levels should be monitored because combine with low estradiol levels, your body has returned to male levels.

As I told my t levels are barely there.
last hormone screening was 12 hours after last intake, my levels are perfect. also my endosays shedoesnt have a clue but noticed that I lost much of my femininity.

isnt there anyvexplanation for this? It happens and I barely can live anymore with this.
Female hormones are virilising me. please just try to trust me and tell me if you encountered similiar effects, knew someone going through this or if you have any idea what this could be.
I was very proud about my femininity, even before transition. now I just look manly, am heavyly depressed, the guy I date loves me, but has problems with me looking so manly.
ibjust want to know what the <not allowed> happened. and it happeed, i've run to so many doctors, spoke to so many people.
this isnt my body, i'm not perceived as who I truly am.

wtf happened with me?? 😔

I have an additional question. How much weight have you lost after starting HRT? If you have lost a good deal of weight you might not have had enough time for it to redistribute in a feminine direction. Fat can take years to find a new location and it my case it was well over 3 years.
