It's been a wild ride this last year and I couldn't be happier with the results so far. This two photos are about 13 months apart.

Hi Nikkimn

                   Do you feel quite different to a year ago. There was a man then a total woman. How does that feel?

You look great, Kirsten

As a child prayed to be a girl- now the prayer is being answered - 40 years later !

@Nikkimn
Dear Nikki:
Thank you for sharing your before and after photo comparison.
Very dramatic results for sure.
If you feel so led, it would be wonderful for some of our other transitioning members to read about some of your other journey experiences this last year.... but only if you feel comfortable to share.

Again, your picture is that of a terrific picture of a pretty woman....
Hugs,
Danielle

One of the biggest changes that happens long term over the second half of the first year on hormones is muscle atrophy and fat redistribution. Here's a picture from July 2018 and April 2019 to show the huge differences in muscle tone and size. I'm a big power lifter and into strength training 2-3 days a week and I'm still lifting heavy and focusing more on core, back and lower body but I still managed to shed a ton of muscle bulk purely from HRT.

I feel like that's a complicated question. I feel like me but I also see myself evolving and changing into a better version of myself. One who is more comfortable expressing her feminine side but still enjoying some of the more male things she did before.
