I was at just such a place this weekend. We invaded, took over, and had a blast. I am speaking of the Keystone Conference of course. A shout out to Lillian, Randi, Joyce, Jenn, and Karen, some of the wonderful folks we met. ?For you newbies out there, this is done at a hotel. It lasts 4 or 5 days, and has all kinds of informational presentations, lunches and dinners with guest speakers, and a big dance with a live band. Some high points for me involved going over to Sephora to get a makeover lesson, listening to some great speakers, and dancing my butt off to the band, Wicked Jezebel. Wow, it was good music. I was determined to let my hair down and really dance with my soul in it. Oh, I showed off my new push up bra, although I forgot to take pictures. Two speakers I heard were very good also. One was the trans Democratic nominee for Gov. from Vermont. The other was a conservative Christian mom from Texas who has a transgender daughter. She told a compelling story about her journey and that of her daughter. I managed to find her later and give her a hug from this transgender atheist. lol It was all good! Anyway, it is a very nurturing place for first time outers. The staff at the Sheraton were all amazing. I was happy not to run into my least favorite doctor but that's another story. Anyone else attend?
