Ending my first month on hrt and I am so happy that my life seems so much mellow, I'm at a different peace that I never have experienced.

This week my nipples are really getting sensitive but in an amazing way.

I'm just wondering what I should be experiencing next because I honestly never expected to feel as incredible as I do already?

Dear Andie:
While what you reported can certainily be uncomfortable, it is also very exciting at the same time.
At the 3 week to 1-3 month point of my HRT my nipples were super sensitive and erect most of the time.  They were just about poking holes in my shirts...  and could be considered weapons ready to impale passer-byes. ;) :o

Although you didn't mention it, I would think that based on my own personal experience and also with postings and reports on the forums from other MTF transitioners, you will soon be feeling small lumps or breast buds under each nipple... breast growth may soon to be coming your way.

I will be eagerly looking for your update posts as you continue in your journey.
Hugs and best wishes,
Danielle

Thank you, I've been checking for the 'bumps ', no bumps or anything except my nipples and yes they are hard all the time and the pain is different from any pain that I have ever expected, it's a wonderful pain which I really hope that I don't sound like a weirdo person into pain, I just feel so wonderful!

Hello Andie, glad you posted. I also just finished beginning HRT a little over a month ago and had similar experiences. I've also noticed several other changes: My armpit odor went to nearly nothing and I sweat much, much less than when I was a man. I can also my urine smell has changed to a less pungent odor. I too have breast pain but mine is more like an ache than actual pain. My nipples are constantly hard (gosh that wounds almost pornographic, sorry)
I also feel great, like I want to get out there and live my natural female life!

When I first started taking Estrogen I'd get this little natural HIGH or euphoric feeling for several hours. Did you feel that also? I no longer get that almost laughing gas feeling unfortunately. Hopefully you are having as much fun as I am with transition. Keep smiling.

Whew, I am totally excited and on the exact same way you are as you explain it. I really am enjoying this beautiful journey of my life and I am totally ready to move to where I don't know anyone so I can just live Andies life and with no worries regarding my old life as the old dead me.

Andie, isn't it a great feeling to live a life you want rather one you regret? There was once a time when I thought there was no way on earth on earth I could go on. I asked God to take me off the planet and he did. The old me is long gone and the new me has arrived!

Did you ever experience the euphoric feeling when you took your HRT?

Dear Andie:
At the risk of me telling you what you may have already read... here is important stuff for you and anyone that is considering HRT or at the beginning their HRT journey should be aware of...
...here are some of my thoughts as it may relate to what you might expect.

As has been stated over and over here on the Forums... and by me in many of my past comments on various posts, HRT will work uniquely in your own unique body.
What you read about other transitioning members experiences with HRT most likely will not be identical to your own experiences.

Some will experience more significant changes more quickly and then some will experience less significant changes more slowly....   it is all up to your genes and how your body reacts to the HRT.   Your doctor will  undoubtedly be looking at your frequent blood test results during your journey to determine if any alterations in the HRT regimen are needed.
PATIENCE is definitely required.... usually not much happens very quickly with HRT... but changes will happen.  Do some reading of other transitioners posts and look at many of the posted HRT timelines and the before and after pictures. ....  they can give you a rough idea of what you MIGHT expect.
The adage that you have probably already heard regarding HRT and how it may work for various individuals  is "YMMV"  meaning that Your Mileage May Vary.

Many times the very first noticeable changes can be felt and seen within the first 1 to 6 months... breast tenderness, erect nipples breast bud lumps forming under the nipples, breast growth,  and possibly changes in body hair growth, your own body and urine smell, changes in erections becoming less intense, libido and emotional changes, even more cying, etc.

Without a doubt this can be very "EXCITING and SCARY all at the same time."   One needs to hang on for an amazing ride.  Some of my best and most appreciated and dramatic body changes happened at about the 5 month point through the start of year #2 of my HRT journey.
Even though I was able to very successfully pass before I went full-time... when I did go full-time at the 1 1/2 year mark I have been passing 100% of the time.  Of course that is just my experience, I suppose I can thank my body makeup and my genes for all that.

We are here to rejoice with you in the good times and to support you in the not so good times.
One more time.... PATIENCE is required.   The attitude of many people today is "I want it all and I want it now" ... that will not apply to HRT.
You might want to re-read what I just wrote so you can get a good grasp of the details that I mentioned.

Also, as I am certain that you have already done, re-read many of the threads, posting, and comments from other MTF transitioners here on the forums.  You will find out what others have experienced and what may become some of your experiences as you continue on in your journey.

I will be looking forward to your continued updates as you feel free to post them.
Hugs and well wishes
Danielle

I am also just over the month on HRT and there are definitely changes. I don't seem to have pain in the breasts but the nipples are more sensitive and often errect. I had quite prominent moobs and are definitely getting bigger with a more boob shape.

There are many other feature changes but a lot is due to lifestyle changes. I am deiting and considerable thiner so body shape is changing this is emphasising the breast development as I am not losing fat there, have also put some fat back on my face where the diet removed a lot.  I use skincare products and better skin care so softer skin is more likely to be that.

I am so happy at the moment with being me at all time other than at home being accepted by everyone at work and meet during the day. Is that the pills or again lifestyle probably a combination of both

So here is to all of us starting our new life.. cheers

Jessica

Congratulations on your first month Andie! I'm 3 weeks on E and very little to report. Maybe my senses of taste and smell have improved, and I am feeling generally better, but certainly not euphoric. My dysphoria has definitely reduced, and that was my main concern. I am on a moderate dose, and my Endo felt I would increase at my next review in May. I believe my slow start is helping my wife come to terms with my transition, so all in all, I'm happy!
