Right handed but do some things left handed which apparently is normal. Have been a professional cook (with schooling) but I did think of changing into electronics/IT. Maybe there is something to that. One thing I did notice while cooking on an industrial scale when people have things done to order it really does help if you can multitask which I did rather well. A fellow male cook struggles with that a bit and you kind of notice that when things need to be done yesterday under pressure:)
For every day that stings better days it brings.

I my opinions hurt anyone it is NOT my intent.  I try to look at things in a neutral manner but we are all biased to a degree.  If I ever post anything wrong PLEASE correct me!  Human after all.

Anyway research, would suggest that mtfs are significantly more likely to be left handed than the general male population which is about 11%. (and more likely also to be employed in electronics/software or similar.)

I am left handed, electronics and computers have been a really good way to earn a very decent living.

AND instead of OR

the poll was obviously binary... :)

Nonbinary.  I have better fine motion in left but my right is stronger.  One handed typing is faster with the left. And I can write with either!

I am most definitely RIGHT handed....
I am "all thumbs" with my LEFT hand but it is handy for holding my cell phone while I write texts !

I am definitely left-handed. I am totally surprised by the percentages in the survey.  Is there some correlation? If so, why? It does seem like a very high percentage of lefties.

LOL

I guess if I had to pick one hand I guess maybe the right hand if only because school tried the drill the use of my left hand out of me. But in truth I'll use whichever hand is free to do whatever I need to do at that moment. I have the same fine motor control with both hands.

I guess that frees the left hand to flip through the receipts?

Interesting. I've read the comments. Many many are ambidextrous like me. I used to mirror left and right drawings on the chalk board in school. I drew a tree for example with my left hand and mirrored it with my right at the same time. Everyone was amazed. But at 18 I got pissed and hit a lamppost and broke the knuckles on my left hand. Then I did not train the mobility back. I played hockey at that time. I still have a very strong slap shot. Haha

Usually very few people are ambidexter. Atleast what I've read about before.

I am so much right handed that i had a hard time to feed myself while I was still all wrapped up from carpal tunnel surgery of the right hand.  When I was still smoking, the left hand as OK to hold the cigarette, but not for much else.  Now it is used to hold the cell, when the right is doing important stuff!

Neither maybe? I can write a little faster right handed so right handed? I throw a ball better left handed though, so left handed? I can hit a baseball or softball harder right handed but I am more accurate left handed. I sew with my left hand but I draw with either. I paint (poorly) with my left hand. It's hard for me to put on makeup with my right hand, mascara brush on the eyeball sucks let me tell you. I always hand something to or take something from someone with my right hand. I ah, well you know, left handed. Stirring, chopping is either, kitchen altogether is a wash.

Really strange, I will only take a baby with my right hand behind their head, I will make them switch before handing the baby over. No idea why, I guess that I am trying to be so careful, my niece is left handed and it was really natural handing her son back and forth. Now he is four and we argue over who needs to step in when he is being a monster. Your child, your problem baby girl. Sucks being an adult. Another story that.

Is it important which hand is dominant?
