I had a couple interviews and decided to stop at MacDonalds and
Grab a coffee and a wrap. I absolutely never eat there but
I was in the drive thru  gave me my order hi ma'am can u pull your
Car to side and will run your order out another employee runs out here's
Your order ma'am have a great day.

It was a big confidence boost went into my next interview
Extremely happy and confident and I think I've got the job
Just need to wait on my reference check. It's working in the deli
At a local health food store. Sort of like a mini wholefoods

Hi Michelle, yes it's a great feeling. I am new to this too and every time it happens it is another notch on the confidence scale. I have had only one fail (ish) over the last two weeks where I was called mate by a stranger that wanted me to move down at Costa.

Absolutely good news for you and hope all goes well with your interviews

Love

Such a wonderful feeling, isn't it? :)

Congratulations!
2003-2004 -- Gradual transition -- I didn't correct pronouns and people basically settled on the right ones on their own.
late 2004 -- Orchiectomy.
Late 2015 -- Stupidly saw the political climate and spurned on by my husband's request for a divorce I detransitioned.
2019 -- Rebuilding my wardrobe so I can retransition.  Turns out I cain't bury my true self, after all.  I call these last few years my failed experiment.  At least I found my true feelings were real.

Thanks
yes my interviews went well still no reference checks
I'm extremely lucky that all my former employers support my transition
And are available for references under my new name and pronouns.
Just a ton of Competition. I live in a city of 400.000 with two universities and
A college.  So many stay in Victoria over the summer. Most employers are not
Transphobic.  I had only one I questioned and that was more due to the fact
That she is Korean and another I was extremely under qualified and up against
Someone who just moved back to Canada  from New York and did sales in Manhattan.
But I'm confident I'll find the right job. Where I live is extremely open minded and is a lot
Like San Francisco as far as being open minded and accepting of people

That is wonderful to hear!  You go girl!   :)

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.
Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Be brave, be strong.  Try a little kindness.  I am a brown eyed brunette.
