Has anyone experienced necrosis following GCS?

Hi!

I'm in the process of researching GCS and right now I'm strongly considering Thai surgeons, particularly Dr. Bank and Dr. Chettawut.

I was reading on the Suporn clinic website that the rate of labia necrosis was around 20% for 2003. That seems pretty high to me.

What happens if necrosis is found after GCS? I would assume you'd at least need a revision surgery to remove the necrotic tissue. Does it have any other long lasting consequences? Are there any other sources of published data on infection rates or complication rates for Suporn/Bank/Chettawut?

It's usually not serous and is fixed up while you're there. Hence the 30 day stay.

necrosis is a common complication after reconstructive surgery. In most cases treatment is not needed because the necrosis is too small and doesn't compromises the cosmetic outcome. In some cases excision is needed.

I have been thru it... revision required but usually a simple operation of cutting away the dead skin..... however I have a Low tolerance towards pain and I passed out during the revision. Aftermath, all is ok already.
To avoid necrosis, try to restrict your movements and stay rested in bed during your recovery phase.... well I did otherwise... 😛
