I have a rare kidney disease  I've been battling on and of since
I was 22 I don't have a transplant or dialysis but I do have
To take the same medication as someone with a transplant
The great news is I will be stopping my kidney medication and
My kidney function is normal I'm coming off my blood pressure is perfect
I will be off my kidney meds in around 6 months time. I always struggled with it coming
Back since coming out and starting hormones 16 months ago my function improved
My blood pressure has gone down and she wants to get me off of those drugs
Spirolactone was a concern but I've had 0 issues from being on it.

Not sure it's just being my genuine self or what but im extremely happy

That is great.  I bet you feel like a new person, having less toxicity in your blood.

That's great to hear!! Kidneys, ugh!.  A few years back I was measured with a eGFR around 32? Somewhere down there. I just got new results today, I've made it up to 49!  YAY!  For those not in the know, 15 and lower is dialysis.
Blood pressure and Kidney functions are intrinsically linked.

High BP reduces kidney function.
Bad kidneys increases blood pressure.

In my case my high BP was killing my kidneys. BP is under control, kidneys are improving.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

My dieasease is Neprotic syndrome (FSGS)
I think mine was Down to 30 during my last relapse
But now it's between 98-100% function. I think coming out , eating healthy (low sodium diet ) and a positive mind set helped.  I know stress and anxiety can effect your function and it wouldn't surprise me if dysphoria played so role too. So in away pretending to be male was literally slowly killing me and I could never fully recover to this point.  Prior to coming out my function was 85 and 90 in medically induced  remission
