I have my zero/ shallow depth vaginoplasty scheduled for October, 2019.

I have been able to find many videos and photos of mtf vaginoplasty procedures but seem unable to find a video or photos of a zero depth procedure (vaginoplasty without a canal).

Does anyone know where I might be able to find a video or photos a zero depth procedure?

I had what you are referring to four months ago, but my surgeon did not give me "zero" depth but a shallow depth of about an inch that does not require dilation.   He called it a modified vaginoplasty.   I believe that in a photo the appearance of the depth of the vaginal canal is not visible.  In others words, I look like any other post op transexual, let alone a CIS woman.  I don't know of any photos of specifically post-op modified vaginoplasties except my own which I periodically send to my surgeon and I am not about to make them public!

My understanding is as described by @Dorit in that you could not tell the difference. When discussing this with my surgeon he also said it was essentially the same appearance as full depth with a slight depth (1inch?)to give the appearance of having a vaginal canal. He said without an examination there would be no way to tell the difference in appearance . He also said it would take at least a year before you got an accurate idea of how the who thing looks.

Hope that helps

As I understand it, shallow, zero depth and cosmetic are synonymous terms for that form of vaginoplasty. My surgeon, Dr. Ley, said that the shallow, ~1 inch depth was required to provide the look that a full depth procedure would produce. Without that 1" dimple, all the folds and bit and pieces would not come together looking authentic. This has been verified by my electrologist who has told me that my girl looks just like the others she has seen and worked on. No pictures have or will be taken of mine.

Good luck,
Tia Anne
