Well! Here we go! I finally took my first dose of hrt today. I'm so excited to officially start my journey. I love my doctor, Anchor Health has to be the most open and welcoming people I've ever met. I've started laser hair at home and I've been having very good results. Ive still got about 5 pounds to loose to make my goal weight. Hopefully by the end of summer I will be ready for a sun dress! Thank you all for your inspiration it has truly helped me gain the confidence to begin this journey.

I'm excited for you. Getting to that starting line is quite the challenge. It continues to be one for me. Hopefully I'll be following your footsteps in a few weeks. When you are ready for that sundress I would absolutely love to see your smiling face modeling it. You go girl! Love and faith to you sister.

This is the only part of this journey I feel I could truly offer advice with. Have faith and be patient it takes time. I went to a fantastic doctor but they operate on informed consent so it is a much easier process. However it was still 2 months of appointments and labs. Then I finally got my prescription and had to wait for the mail order pharmacy. Every day was painful knowing I was there, I was going to start my transition but I still had to wait. All that being said I think the process went quickly for me compared to others be patient it will happen, all good things take time and effort.

Hopefully, I'll soon be joining you.  My endocrinologist appointment is tomorrow!
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

It did.  I had my appointment this afternoon and walked out with my prescription and took my first pill as soon as I got home.

Congrats! that's fantastic.
I don't know where you're at psychologically with the process but my first script was only spiro, and a low dose at that.  Even so popping that first minty smelling tablet was one of the most empowering things I ever did.  I was finally taking the first concrete step that all my other little soft steps before were really leading to, even if I didn't know it as I took them.  The world shifted in that moment and I'm sure I will never see it the same way again. Welcome to the peeing every fifteen minutes club! (at least that's what the spiro is doing to me!  XD) Hugs <3<3<3

I'm at the point where I'm happy I started HRT.  I did informed consent, so no need for a therapist etc.  Also, I've been on dutasteride for a couple of years, so no need for spiro.

Omg the first dose although having no actual effects, there was such a sense of calm and I've had such a good week since. My anxiety has been down and I've actually slept. The fact that I've actually started this has been such a huge burden off me.
