I don't know what is it with people these days but they are starring at me.

I don't know if I look more male if they pick something up but damn going to the shops I do notice it a lot.
Men and woman and teen girls.

I literally had a girl next to me the other day stare and stare.

It makes me super self conscious. Maybe they know I am trans or can see that I look male in some way.

I know for some reason after I stopped most of my psychiatric medication my hrt seems to be making more changes.

I just want to about my daily business and not get second looks and be invisible basically.

It's probably because they can't tell if you're male or female and are confused. When you're in that sort of middle zone between not passing and passing you ping this like... androgyny thing and people do a double take and desperately try to locate some "hint" because people NEED (for some reason) to categorise people in their heads.

It sucks but take it as a good sign, it means you're messing with people's heads and the hrt is doing its thing. Go go HRT!

I've had a few people since I got my hair cut do a double take and I LOVE it because it means i'm passing more than I WAS previously. It's progress.
But of course, passing completely would mean no stares, no double takes and being correctly gendered all the time which is the end goal right?

Still, tell yourself it's because you're too sexy and they can't handle it.

I mentally kept track of the stares.  When they declined, I knew I was doing something right.  Now they are picking up and I think it's other women checking my outfit as all women do and some men are well, checking things out (my eyes are up here).

Based on your avatar pic, I'd say they like what they see.

When I find a woman staring, I look them directly in the eyes and smile.  If it was an innocent stare of appreciation, the smile is an acknowledgement.  If the stare was intended to be hostile, they will wonder what I am smiling about: maybe they have ketchup on their nose?  I reject their hostility and then go about my life.

If it is a man staring, I don't make eye contact or acknowledge their existence in any way.  Just not worth it.

This is just a shot in the dark, and I may be totally wrong.  But could it be the end of the psych meds that you're feeling?  If you were being treated for anxiety (for example), it could be that people aren't watching or staring at you more, but just that your level of sensitivity or apprehension has risen without the meds.  In other words, you might just be noticing it more or subjectively interpreting it more harshly.  (Trans folks have a bad habit of being our own harshest critics!)

They are probably just looking at you because they see you as a beautiful woman.  Some may think you are a model if you are taller..

When I was at a conference in Arkansas a few weeks ago a guy asked me if I was famous, and then another lady asked if I was a model.  Lol


For me I think it's the height being 5'11"

I know that I am an observer of people, please excuse me if I seem to stare a bit.  I do like to think I can make some educated guesses by observing people.  My wife thinks I am odd for paying such attention but I am an intensely curious person.

I have never gone out as female but I have gone out wearing feminine things and looking rather outlandish and I expect the judging looks, frowns and odd comment. I wonder if your own doubts make it seem to be more than it really is.  People are more curious than mean. I think F_P_M is right.

I can sympathize with you that feeling like the world is staring at you is intensely uncomfortable especially if you believe you are not doing anything to warrant such scrutiny.

If you took yourself off the meds, then maybe you should consider going back on them.  Or at least asking your doctor if its okay for you to be off  them.

If your doctor took you off the meds, then maybe you're just now noticing others looking at you. 

TBH, if I saw you IRL, I'd look too.  Face it, you're attractive!  I'm gay, and I am still saying this! 

Get used to it.  People like looking at beautiful things.  Even gay men like myself.

I was gonna say something earlier about your profile pic but then I was all "mm that might be kinda creepery" lol. I gotta watch myself nowadays. The more masculine I present the less I can tell women they're beautiful without coming across as pervy.
