Australia is a great place to live. I traveled a fair bit in the 90s and there really was no question about where we would return too....but then again maybe I am a bit biased LOL

Hope you make it

Brisbane may be a bit warm after Belgium and Montreal, so maybe you could consider Melbourne, it's always listed at the top of the world's most liveable cities!

I always thought Australia was at the bottom of the world.   ;) :D
I'm a 65 year old male who has been thinking about SRS for many years.  I also was a  full cross dresser for a few years.  I wear a bra, pantyhose and nail polish daily because it just feels right.

I'm Canadian but live In Victoria BC so a bit warmer then Montreal
In the winter.  I spent 4 months in Australia on a working holiday visa
In 2012-2013 pre transition.  Generally Australian are a lot like Canadians
And culturally both countries have similarities. Climate wise I was working
In a town called Byron bay about an hours or so south of Brisbane.
I was there for the summer and traveled threw out Australia while I was there
Where Brisbane is it's around 25-28C average then 15c or so in the winter months
I also visited Melbourne it's a fairly big city but like a major Canadian city like
Toronto or Vancouver.  Sydney is similar to Vancouver there's wa fairly large Chinese
Population when Hong Kong went back to China a fair number of people resettled in both those city's.  Then Tasmania would be somewhat on par with Vancouver island climate wise. Hobart is a lot like Victoria.  Somewhat cured my home sickness while I was away.  Farther north like Carins
Is far more humid.  Adelaide and south Australia I found similar to the okanogan in the summer months.  Alice springs was way to hot for me 55c when I was there and Darwin was a little better but the heat and humidity I found intense. Over all it's a commonwealth country so like Canada there's a lot of shared values and but I did find something a little more relaxed compared to Canada or the USA
