Flying after surgery

Hey beautifuls,

Just had Srs last Wednesday and my post op appointment is this Wednesday and I fly out of the area on Friday. Any suggestions on flying? It's a 5 hr flight.

Ensure you get an Aisle seat so you can dash off to the loo if the feeling moves you and when I flew home on a one hour flight I had to go twice...at least it felt like I did...and have a blow up donut to sit on...other than that ensure your bag is easy to get and is on wheels so you don't have to carry it. Make sure your pain meds are handy along with a change of pad if you still need them...I did. Hope that helps

I'm flying with Southwest. Do you think it might be easier to request the wheelchair and sit in that?

Hi ya Zbrooks

Not sure if you need the wheelchair or not...Much of this depends on how you feel. By day 8 I was up and about able to walk maybe 1/2 mile comfortably. It will depend really on how far you need to walk to get to the gate and the plane. I personally didn't need it but YMVv as they say.
