So i never really liked having a male body
I also dont like my lower half, im always bothered by it
I also dont like having a high sex drive due to Testosterone
when i was a in my early teens i started to think i would enjoy life more if i had a womans body
I crossed dressed a little bit in private but stopped because i didnt know what type of reactions i would get if people saw me
I thought it might've just been a phase
Also when i did crossdress idk what about it but for some reason it just felt right
Ive never had a feminine personality
Im attracted to females
There was a period of my life i didnt think about it much about it but once in a while i would ponder how much more i might enjoy my life as a woman
Now im in my early twenties n recently ive been thinking about it a lot after learning about hrt
To the point its keeping me up all night
So i just wanted to know what others think i might be
Ps. sorry for the bad grammer also im very ignorant about this type of stuff

I strongly suspect you DO have a feminine side, but it exists in a societal and self-imposed cage, buried from sight and mind, but in my opinion, it will be with you all of your life, and it's up to you whether you want to allow that aspect of you to ever see daylight, or to what degree.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Hi, Curious123!

Welcome to Susan's Place.

I can't say for sure if you are or aren't trans - only you can decide that - but there are enough strong indicators in your description to justify talking to a gender therapist about it.  One thing to bear in mind is that cis people almost never think about their gender, whereas trans people think about it a lot.

Please feel free to stop by the Introductions forum to tell the members about yourself.  Here is some information that we like to share with new members:

What's a feminine personality though? lol.

Ultimately, people are people and if you're more comfortable and confident presenting a certain way then it's probably right yeah? Least that's what i'm working on.

and I mean yeah, it's rough and there's so much doubt. "am I really trans? Maybe i'm just xyz" but ultimately, i feel like if you keep coming back to trans, you're probably trans.
If you're obsessing over it (man I had those sleepless nights too!) then yeah...

My advice is to take it slow, experiment, see how things make you feel. Trust your heart.

good luck to you

That is a question you can only answer yourself. However there is nothing wrong with being trans. I can tell you this, it is not a phase. You sound a lot like me when I was in my 20's, heck you sound exactly like me and I'm in my early 30's.

The stuff you say about cross dressing I am like that too.

Do you have any sisters or female friends you can talk to for support?

Reading what you posted makes it sound like I'm reading about myself, so I have an idea how you must feel.

There are somethings I did to figure if Im trans, however everyone is different. I would imagine or try to visualize how I would react if I was physically female or ask myself if to chose between something that male or female. However some people try other things.

I hope this helps you.

Hello Curious and Welcome to this wonderful website

It appears to me that that there is fair chance that you are transgender as you are constantly thinking of gender whereas cispeople do not think that way.

It makes no difference to which gender or genders you are attracted, as for most of us and indeed in the eyes of the medical profession, gender identity and physical attraction are two separate subjects. I have always been mainly asexual with a small attraction to females. Now I realize that I am and always have been "asexual with minor lesbian tendencies".

I should warn you that these feelings can be suppressed and buried but never go away and come back many times usually each time with greater ferocity. I was forced to take action aged 62 as the feelings were so dominant and I sought therapy followed by HRT; I am going fulltime public in Summer.

I hope you find resolution and happiness.

Hugs

Pamela
