At the pool today, I was spinning my granddaughter (7) around in a circle. She hollered over at my wife and said, "Grandma, make her stop".  She didn't really want me to stop, you know how kids are.
I left the door open, only a few came through. such is my life.

Linde,

That sounds positive!  Great!  I am glad you liked the place and had a good time.

Chrissy
Yes, it was very comfy.  I wished there would have been more females (the two of us an two others were the only one among probably 50 guys), but it was a Saturday afternoon, and it might be different in the evening.  Next time we go later.

I got a bunch of new artist recommendations today, and a lot of new music to enjoy for finals week! <3
If you ever feel like you're unloved, message me. Reach out to me. Seriously. I love you. I'll listen to everything to need to say. I'm running on California time, and I'm a full time student, so if you're expecting a reply, please be patient. But I'll always reply. Thinking of you.

For the second time in her life, my wife agreed to marry me. Today we had a great meeting with a wedding planner, and she loved our story. I look forward to the ceremony, and having a marriage license with my current name.

I saw fireflies (aka lightning bugs) in my backyard tonight!!! It's been decades since I lived in a place where those beautiful insects occasionally light up the darkness. Brings back a lot of happy memories...

I was having lunch with two girlfriends and it was really nice.  Then we went clothes shopping but I came out of the store empty handed.  Not buying took an immense amount of resistance against opening up my purse and handing over my credit card.

I am trying to keep to my commitment that for every two clothing items I buy this year that I donate at least one I already have. It does not have to be the same type of clothing though.

Really, I have enough as it is. But it was fun to shop.

How do I begin that is the question, well lets start from the beginning shall we?

  • Went to another town which was 30km away for a 3km swim, while listening to music  all the time.
  • Went to the nearest pathology lab in that town where the vampires took some blood from me for my new specialist Dr.
  • Went to the local shopping center and brought four new tops, one long white dress and one colored skirt.
  • Had lunch at the the local shopping center.
  • Went home another 30km trip and listened to music
  • Took some rubbish to the local rubbish tip
  • Worked on the next installment of Sarah's Story
  • Had an afternoon sleep
  • Worked on several posts for members of Susan's Place

The above activities made me happy for the whole day today, or better still being alive for the whole day made me extremely happy.

Best wishes and take care everyone

Not anything extraordinary happened today, so that was not it.

I got "ma'amed" three times today!

I drove up to Sturgis to the Fort Meade VA Hospital for an appointment. As I was approaching the main entrance an older gentleman said "Good afternoon, ma'am". I replied with, "It's a beautiful day, isn't it?" He said, "Yes, Ma'am! It certainly is, ma'am."

It's been a while since I've been properly ma'amed. And he ma'amed me good. Made my day!  :)

Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.
Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you,
so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.
