Quote from: Lori Dee on August 16, 2025, 05:05:12 PMI got to meet some lovely ladies for lunch. Great food. Great company.

Got home in time for some packages to be delivered. (So they didn't bake in the hot sun.)

It's my mom's birthday today, so I will get a chance to visit with her tonight, too.

All is good in the life of Lori Dee.  :)
I'm glad! Happy late birthday to your momma!!
Love who you love, do what you want, and live life to the fullest. They're gonna talk about you anyways so might as well make their conversation interesting. Live as yourself, not someone everyone else wants you to be.

Mom moved into her apartment yesterday and she is happy there. Found out she is doing well still. Gets together with other widows there and they have been a great help to her since my dad passed
Thank you for being their role model. And I'm glad your mom is doing better.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

I'm finally back on my normal work schedule. It's so nice to get to sleep late again. I was able to get a good meal before I went to work, too. 😁
