Quote from: Alana Ashleigh on September 15, 2025, 09:35:03 PMI never posted this last Friday since I was busy at work all night... last Friday was my 120 day of being on hormones. I can't believe how fast time has gone. Being on hormones has gone better than I was expecting. There's been a few ups and down, some moodiness, and a bit of crying, but I'm feeling the happiest I've felt in ages. I'm definitely seeing changes. They're subtle, but there.

Yay!
Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Quote from: Jessica_Rose on September 15, 2025, 07:38:13 AMGetting 'in touch' with your emotions after decades of repressing them is quite a roller coaster. They will calm down eventually. I've found that if I'm telling someone an emotional story, closing my eyes helps me control my emotions.

Be prepared for sudden, unexpected rounds of euphoria. The first time I experienced one, it was a bit frightening.

I loved wearing bras initially. They are so affirming! After a few years, I realized how hot they were in the summer. I've stopped wearing them now, except for special occasions.

Love always -- Jessica Rose

I experienced a moment of euphoria like that a few weeks ago. It felt like I was drunk. It was an interesting experience. I've just tried to enjoy and appreciate the moments of euphoria, or little moments of femininity when they come.

I've been feeling a bit conflicted the last few days. I'm definitely seeing my body shape change. My shape is becoming more feminine. I'm ecstatic that it's happening, but at the same time, I feel weird that it's happening. I'm not sure why I'm feeling this way.

Change is hard.

It means that you have gone through a door and closed it.  It won't open ever again.

Hey, I remember feeling the exact same way when changes started showing, so excited but also kinda like, whoa, is this real!

It felt like I was in a bit of shock.

What helped me was talking it through with my doctor and therapist.

They reminded me that sometimes our minds just need a little more time to process what's happening in our bodies. Once I understood that, it became so much easier to celebrate the good stuff.

You're doing great, Alana, and I think it's worth mentioning to your team so you can fully enjoy this ride 💕

I figured I try posting something different today...

I'm at work waiting to for the clock to hit 11p so I can go home and start my weekend. I'm running a 5k tomorrow morning. My last one was a few weeks ago. I'm hoping to run it in 32 minutes.  I'm planning on getting the grill going when I get home, and watch college football.

Earlier this year I wore a shirt at a fitness walking/jogging event and on the back, it says:

.Over 40

.Slow

.Ahead of You

I received numerous thumbs up and positive comments about that shirt.

I'm pretty tall, and have long legs. I had a helluva time doing the sit and reach in high school. I spend a ton of time working out my legs, hiking, and biking, too.

I went to the doctor this morning and had my levels checked. I haven't had them checked since I started hrt. I hopefully will have the results later today.
