It is fun to try on outfits for sure!

Quote from: ChrissyRyan on January 29, 2024, 10:07:52 PMThree front closing bras arrived this evening but I have not tried them on.  It's been a busy day and I am settled in bed.  I have a nice warm floral, nearly ankle length nightgown to keep me warm and cozy.

I remember the days when I just could not wait to try them on but wearing them regularly for awhile now I guess has subdued this anticipatory rush.

Maybe one of these will work out, I will see tomorrow.  I tried some on last week but I did not care for any of those front closing bras.

Chrissy

Well I laid out on my bed three outfits for the day. I tried each of these front closing bras.  I guess any of these bras I would have to get used to using.  I think I will keep at most one of them, if that.  They just feel different somehow when wearing.  Maybe it is my imagination.

I need to get ready for the day.  I hope you all have a nice day.

Hugs,

Chrissy

I may need to try another bra because of my choice of top.
I have been wearing a tank top at home that drops low with a big U shape from the shoulders straps down to the top of my breasts.  Then I wear an unbuttoned shirt over it, it is a nice layered casual look.  But this does show the top of the cups, although most of that can be covered up with the shirt.  But it is not a clean look to see the cup material.

So I will need to not wear this blue tank top that goes down that far from my neckline or get a bra that has less top of cup material.  Probably will not wear this particular top unless I do not wear a bra, that seems to be a simpler solution and cheaper than getting a different bra.  Plus I may not like that type bra for some reason.

Oh I wonder if I will ever really be ready for full time.

Oh Chrissy, I love ya.  It's awesome that your care so much about this.  Caring how you look and spending extra time is more normal for female than male.

I also spend a lot of time figuring what bra goes with what top.

Sometimes (more often than I want to admit), I spend too much time figuring out what top goes with what bra.

Warm Regards,

Paulie.

They do make 'plunge' bras which work well with deeply cut necklines. I have a few that I found at Victoria's Secret, but you may be able to find them at places like Nordstroms, Dillard's or Macy's. There is also a style called 'demi cup' that may work, in addition the the stores already mentioned, you may be able to find those at Walmart or Target. Although you won't be able to try them on first, Amazon would probably have all of those styles.

A bra that provides you a nice look and is comfortable for all day wearing is most important I think.  My most comfortable bras I can wear all day long and not notice that it is there.  I mean, I know it is there, but there is no binding, and no strap fiddling.  It provides support and to helps me out up there, it does its job.  Colors are not that important too me except to wear what is right color for the clothes I am wearing.

Bras can be tricky!  I do not like those where a strap may undo itself maybe too easily.  It is really annoying if it undos itself at the back band.  Some of those joiners are not designed well.

Did some guy engineer it?

Design flaw!

Disgusting is if you buy online and it does appear used, even slightly smelling of deodorant.  A friend told me that happened to her once.

Back it went she said!

I saw a pretty blue bra but was wondering what color I could wear that under besides a blue blouse and be unconcerned its color may show through.  Would it be any color top that a black bra is okay for?

I don't worry much about it unless the top is sheer enough for them to show through. I have some thin T-shirt dresses, but only the pink one shows anything. So I wear beige or pink under that. All the others are dark colors and nothing shows through.

I'm not one of those where everything needs to match, because no one is going to see them but me. I did get a surprise one time. My Endocrinologist wanted to check my breasts and had me remove my shirt.

She said, "I have that same bra!"

There are so many types and models and makers of bras one wonders what the odds are of someone you know that has the same one.  Some bras would maybe be more popular than others though.

Thanks for sharing out.

And I bought it online. So it wasn't like she went to a local store and got one too.
The brand is Smart & Sexy and is a pushup that adds 1 cup size. They offer a +2 cup size but they don't look right when I wear them. Lumps and bumps in all the wrong places.  ;D

That (+2 cups) would be a giant upsize and perhaps supersizing would not be the way to go.

A full cup size boost though can be desirable when you have boob size envy.

Same here, going from A to C looks lumpy.  Going from B to D might look better, maybe someday I'll find out.  ;D

Just a quick note.

Do not get too concerned if your bra outline, such as the straps, seem to show up as your look in the mirror.  While I prefer to have it appear that I am wearing no bra, it is just fine for us MTF women for the bra to be noticeable under your clothing.  You're not intending for it to be noticed, it just is at times, depending on what you are wearing.  If it simply a faint outline, do not let that bother you much.

If it looks like you are being squeezed a lot, perhaps you need a bra fitting or a replacement bra. A camisole can hide some bra lines, as do some materials and layers, of course.  But I have a T shirt bra that is not hidden by simply wearing a t shirt.  Maybe I have not found the right T shirt bra yet!

As a woman, people know that you wear bras for support and the bra's slight visibility is not really an issue.  Perhaps if you are NOT a MTF but simply like to wear bras maybe then it may be a concern to hide their presence.

To be open, and really I have not done this much at all, but every once in awhile I purposely want a strap to be seen for a bra or camisole, or the lace at the bottom of the camisole.  But of course, never at work!  Usually this is when I am with my sweetie and not in public.  I am simply conservative in dress.

I am having a boob size envy day.  I basically have the day off and will lunch in a few hours with a friend.  I think I will wear a stretchy red top and my push-up and some flannel lined blue jeans.  I just get these feelings about my breasts some days. I am unsure why, as I am pretty much happy with them since they have grown.

I want a bra that the sides of my padding or forms don't stick out of and also look cute. I'm wearing bralets right now.

I have not used breast forms so I do not know for sure about this.
There are bras advertised with wide side panels.

They seem to be designed to reduce any body bulge by the side band compressing the skin and excess skin bulging out from under the band.  Maybe one of those could be of help?

Seems to me a bigger band size might do the same but I just do not know.  Some help I am, huh?!

I also heard that there breast plates that have built in breast forms.
