      Birthday Recognition for our Members  

One of the many things that we like to do here for our members on
the Forum is to officially recognize and help celebrate our members birthdays.

I have noticed that many our members, especially returning members after
the New Year's Day site crash and site re-boot, have not submitted the date
of their Birthday on their Forum Profile.

For our members personal privacy and protection of personal information
there are options other than divulging the exact date:
      1. You do not have to enter your birthday
      2. You can enter another date such as your HRT date or other significant date.
      3. You can enter your birthday date without the YEAR.
                              Format below:      
            Birthday: Year (YYYY) - Month (MM) - Day (DD)

NOTE:  If you don't wish for the YEAR to be shown and you also do not wish to have your
Forum profile to show your age....  in the format above, list the year as 1004  then all that will be shown is the Month and the Day on the Birthday Greeting postings.

Birthdays - Personal Information

      Some members have been experiencing difficulties listing their
      birthday on their Profile Summary without showing the "Birth Year"

Here is the quick and easy solution:

Go to your profile and click the Forum Profile Tab
    Birthdays are entered as  Year (YYYY) - Month (MM) - Day (DD)

As you should be aware, I submit Daily Birthday Celebration postings recognizing
our members birthdays.  https://www.susans.org/index.php/board,317.0.html
On those daily birthday postings I never display our members age or their birth year
even if it is shown on their Profile Summary.

Our members age is shown on their Profile Summary  ....  however, to eliminate our
site from showing the member's age there is an easy solution:
  ...for the YEAR enter 1004  ...and and then your Profile Summary will
just show the following for your age:    Age: N/A

All that will be shown on our site when it is time for your birthday is only the month and the day.

Does this also work for the Calendar? I see birthdays listed with the member's age.
Maybe they didn't/don't care so did not take the steps to hide it.

I have been told I don't look my age, so I'm going to flaunt it.

Yes, it not only works on the Calendar but ANYWHERE on the Forum Boards
the age and year of birth is not shown.  GONE !!!!
