What is 'TRUE LOVE'? (romantically speaking, of course)

Define the term. What does it mean to you?

No right or wrong answers.

True love = unconditional love and acceptance by both/all parties. This is the most difficult kind of love to find, because there are always conditions. It just depends on how long it takes you to find them. But to find someone who you'd love, and accept even when they cross those lines, that's special.

I'd vote for "a myth" - nothing is forever, nothing is perfect.

Yes Osiris that is true love for sure.

I think true love is all encompassing, it wraps itself around you and never wants to let you go.  Every enjoyment, every good moment, you want to share.  Every hurt, every painful moment, you want to protect them from it.

There is no such thing as unconditional love.  That's a bunch of romantic crap.  If you don't believe me - and I'm sure you don't - run this phrase past your mind and tell me again there is no condition to love.

I slept with your mom/dad.

Every person puts some sort of conditions on things - including love, violence, cheating, things beyond the pale.  Everyone has a point at which they walk.

i think true love is when you truly accept someone, adore them, crave their company, and hold a special place for them in your heart. also they're great in bed.

QuoteWhat is True Love?

My boyfriend and I  ;) ;D

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee purely, as they turn from Praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints, -I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life! - and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

that's true love!

The concept of true love implies there was ever a false love.

Love was never false.  It is only people who are false.

True Love is what happens when the passionate "honeymoon" phase of a relationship is over. True Love is what happens when the "cute" habits cease to be cute. True Love is what happens when you aren't afraid to show your true self and true feelings on subjects that you know said person does not agree with you on. True Love is what happens when you fight bitterly with no fear of losing said person.

If you can do all of these things and still curl up at night and know that you have not lost your head, this person helps you keep it.  If the person gives you peace long after the butterflies are gone..if staying isn't a decision but a necessity for sanity....if all of these things are true after the passion phase then congratulations, it's True Love.
