Cool - the Maryland Film Festival is going do a showing of short films featuring trans directors. And one of the curators of the exhibition is Lilly Wachowski. Here's a link to it:

https://mdfilmfest.com/events/trans-shorts/

But what I thought was really funny was the bio that Lilly has for herself...here it is:

"Lilly Wachowski is a trans woman and lifelong Chicago resident. She holds a half-finished BA as well as an almost completed Post Baccalaureate certificate from SAIC. Lilly has worked as a Building Maintenance Technician's Assistant, self-employed carpenter, and Writer/Producer/Director. Some of her credits include The Matrix, Sense8, V for Vendetta, Bound, and Work in Progress. She also paints; sometimes she paints ducks."

It totally downplays all of her amazing accomplishments. Hilarious. :D

How does she get the ducks to hold still while she paints them? PETA may not like this...

Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.
Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you,
so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.
