Hello everyone. I am just seeing if there is anyone here local ot phoenix Az and surrounding area. I have used Google to search for some resources here for us, but it seems very few and all located near the city center of Phoenix not so much any suburbs of Phoenix.

Any additional resources or local group meetings would be greatly appreciated. Also any suggestions for specific medical centers or doctors that are good or not afraid to help or give treatment.

Thank you

I didn't see any Support Groups for that area, but if you do an internet search for "transgender care Phoenix AZ", the results show quite a few medical centers in the city.

There are couple of different groups. One led by a therapist and the other one is peer to peer. Different resources in regards to doctors/ clinics in regards to trans care plus even a local surgeon. Plus other local LGBTQA+ groups in the area too. A few different therapists too. I would be glad to put a list together and then post in a spot that everyone can make use of. Hugs

@SimonSaysYes yes I have them bookmarked on my web browser and also get their emails.

My therapist just told me that the children's hospital here in Phoenix is a good resource since they deal with younger trans people, so they have resources and knowledge the local community.

Also the south west center for hiv/aids also has a lot of knowledgeable people in the community. I guess the are called navigators and they can give insight on local business' that are trans friendly and or do specific things like make overs etc for individuals.

I think there might be one other that he mentioned during my session today but I forget the name of it.

Hello Simon

My name is Sarah B and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!  I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

Other than trying to help others find support groups, my question for you is, "what brings you to Susan's?" and "why does Simon say yes?  You have me perplexed!

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!
