Have you ever been in a situation like this?

Hi everyone. The situation I am talking about is where maybe you tried to friends with another trans person but then you find they don't want that from you. They are just hostile to you instead.

I found myself in two situations like that and I found there's really nothing I can do about it. I did the best I could.

Have you ever found yourself in that situation?

I don't think I have, but what comes to mind is where they might be in their transition. If early on maybe they lack confidence to be more outgoing, sort of shy in discussing transition topics. Maybe do not want to discuss them as they are a private thing with them. If later in transition, perhaps would prefer not to hang out in a transgender group, instead preferring to develop cis-gender friends for dating or whatever. Like hiding out among cis-genders so that others would assume that they are too.

I'm just guessing here.

Not really.  But continue to be friendly and perhaps your next encounter will yield a more positive result.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.
