I have seen many you tube influencers say that they wished they touched up their lips sooner. I'm thinking they potentially got Botox injections or something similar.

I'm not quite sure what permanent lip augmentation is or if it's just lip injections every so often? But they did specifically mention that it can be over done rather easily and make ones face unproportional.

Has anyone tried or experimented with Volufiline. It supposedly helps grow new fat cells in the area where it is applied to. I believe it's marketed in alot of beauty products for skin rejuvenation and also products that claim to help firm or grow butt, hips breasts. i was thinking it could be way cheaper solution than getting surgery to augment my lips in the future.

My wife has gone to salon and got lip plumper injections, they are not Botox. And they last something like 6 months to a year. I was thinking of getting them. I may look into your suggestion Robby, and try Volufiline.

I have tried Volufiline products. If you read the marketing part, it claims to increase the size and number of fat cells. Then if you read the studies they cite, the increase is something like 0.08%, which is less than 10% of 1%.

The fillers are along the lines of silicone that are injected into the tissue. It does get absorbed or degraded over time, so maintenance injections are needed. I have considered this option many times. My non-VA dermatologist does them in her office. Because they are a cosmetic procedure, the VA won't cover it. I will have to save up for the out-of-pocket costs.

Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.
Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you,
so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.

@LoriDee thanks for the real statistics on this. All I know is that from everything that I've heard from the other forum that the people that have used it all give warning that it can be done or overdone rather easily and they say try to use it very carefully in the smallest amounts possible especially trying to make your lips grow slowly and subtly versus using too much and now it looks like you have an allergic reaction like a bee stung your lip or something lol.

I was just curious to see if anyone here ever thought of using these products or have used these products and what kind of results or success they had with them since that could be a very inexpensive way to make one's lips more feminine in shape without having to go for expensive injections or actually having some form of surgery on your lips.

The fillers my old dermatology clinic offers are JUVÉDERM®. I thought they were silicone, but I was wrong. They have different types for use on lips, fine lines and wrinkles, and even cheek and jaw enhancement.
