I've been feeling pretty dysphoric most of today, but I'm handling it much better than I have been on my previous posts. I don't know what I'm doing differently, but I know a few months ago, my dysphoria would cause me substantial pain.

Understanding dysphoria helps. When we affirm out gender identity, we feel good (Gender Euphoria), but when we have experiences conflicting with our gender identity, we feel bad (Gender Dysphoria). Gender affirming can take many forms, and even posting under your preferred name, or just thinking of your true self can help. Once we understand dysphoria, we can avoid things that trigger this feeling, and when it does come, we know to do something affirming to reduce the dysphoria.

I am glad you are handling it today!

Hugs,

Allie
