Does anyone have any good suggestions for books or literature for significant others in terms of helping with answering some of their questions, also being educational for when they recently discovered their partners are trans.

I have found a few on Amazon, but I wanted to know if anyone here has a specific book in mind that helped them and their significant other during the early phase of coming out and their transition.

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but @Sarah B recommended this. It explains Gender Dysphoria and stuff. It might help, but isn't dealing with specific relationship stuff.

@Lori Dee thank you. I'm honestly looking for anything and everything that might be a good resource for my wife to read if she has any questions or wants to have a better understanding vs what she thinks she knows about being trans gender and transitioning etc.

I'm sure it will also be helpful to myself as well.

I bought this one already off Amazon

Trans Bodies, Trans Selves: A Resource by and for Transgender Communities https://a.co/d/ha5oVcZ

Which is very basic.

Hi Robby,

Here are a couple of books focusing on a partner's perspective that I found spot-on. However, please be advised that your SO's reaction to reading them is still highly unpredictable.

Erhardt, Virginia. Head over heels : wives who stay with cross-dressers and transsexuals

Vitale PhD, Anne. The Gendered Self: Further commentary on the transsexual phenomenon

Maynard, D. M.. The Reflective Workbook for Partners of Transgender People: Your Transition as Your Partner Transitions

Hi Robby

I would suggest searching YouTube for various couples, especially Amanda and Shaye.  I hope you can work out the various issues with your partner.

Take care and all the best for you and your partner.

Love and Hugs
