Do you enjoy eating digestives?

I believe these are like a type of biscuit.

Tell us all about them!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Yes, they are the only kind of biscuits I really can eat. Most of them aren't super sickly sweet. Depending on the brand. They were called Digestives because back in the mid 1800s, they were believed to aid digestion due to ingredients they had in them. But then back in those times, Radium was thought to be just a way to glow in the dark and make you healthier... so take that as you will. It's a bit of a misnomer.

All I know is that "Proper" digestive biscuits aren't overly sweet, and are very good for dunking in a fine cup of freshly brewed Colombian coffee.

(Yes I am a Brit, and I hate tea. I am a heretic. So sue me, lol. :P)

I have never even heard of them. I figured it was a question about Alka-Seltzer tablets, and I was thinking "who would enjoy eating those?".

LOL

You are adorable. ;D

They use Digestive biscuits in a lot of cheesecake bases. Because they're not overly sweet, and very crumbly.

The weirdness of the Industrial Revolution, lol.

This was a time where they employed women to lick paintbrushes to put radium dials on clocks... then wondered why their jaws fell off... because, you know... radioactive. But it was glow in the dark... the big thing! A lot of stuff being discovered and people utterly not understanding what it was, or what it meant.

Coca-Cola was originally marketed as a cough syrup because it had cocaine in it. That's where the "Coca" part of the name came from. The "Cola" part came from the kola nut, which contains caffeine. The inventor was John Pemberton, a pharmacist, who made the stuff in his back yard. Back then cocaine was legal and used in many medicines.

Yes the name "digestives" sort of sounds like probiotics or prebiotics!
