Well, I am wrapping up day one as a female collage student. I started last Friday being full time and have had the time of my life!  :D I went shopping with a female friend and got directed to the female changing room with hardly a glance. Not sure when I managed to do so, but apparently I pass.  ;)

So with lots of fear and trepidation I attended class today as Rachel. Everyone it seemed was looking at me, but according to some lady friends its because i'm just a frikin tall woman. (6'4") They told me I pass, even my voice. I still had my doubts, which they said were unfounded. They sent me to the woman's restroom to prove it. I'm happy to say there was no code blue for me entering or leaving the restroom.

I know its only been one day, and that there will be trouble. But right now, i'm to happy to care. I owe it all to the awesome people of this board. So thank you everyone! ;D

I think that's the way it should always be .......It's really nice to read a story like that. I'm glad more younger people are transitioning at an earlier age which is far more beneficial in the long run..

I wish I was born 20 years later!

Angel, what a wonderful day you must have had. Don't look for trouble, always think positive, you are the woman you are. Don't ever deny that fact. Have fun in your new life. Oh how I wish I was born 40 years later. I'm happy now and that is all that counts.

Congratulations Angel!

That must have taken every ounce of courage you could scrape together, so be proud of it! I'm also so happy for you that you pass as well as you seem to - no matter what people sometimes say about that passing should not be a priority, it is to all of us, I think. At the end of the day we just want to be accepted as what we know ourselves to be. Passing IS exactly that.

So congrats again... now you just have that minor detail of exams n' projects n' stuff to worry about.  ;)

A great start, young lady.  Now show them that you're the smartest one in class.  :)
