That doesn't sound like a group you would want to belong to.

There are quite a few groups like that, sadly. Many of them are not trans or gay, but just a bunch of posers. They don't want anyone authentic infiltrating their niche group, especially someone who would recognize them for what they are. We would rather have you here with us anyway.

As for old? On the day you were born, I was twenty-five. Already in the Army and had been promoted to Sergeant three years earlier. Yeah, I am what we call "Older Than Dirt".  ;D
My Life is Based on a True Story

Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.
Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you,
so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.

Well I feel welcomed here. And you seem to me to be a very friendly bunch of people. 🌈🌈😊😊

Ya, we are friendly!

Come back often!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Be brave, be strong.  Try a little kindness.  I am a brown eyed brunette.

50+ is not old.  I was climbing mountains in my 50's, 14,000 foot mountains.  Some in one day, 14 hours car to car.

Like Lori said "you don't want to be in that group".

Welcome to Susans.

Paulie.

I have not climbed mountains, just a number of hills under 2,000 feet.  However, hiking can be much fun.

I chuckle occasionally when I wear a t shirt that depicts hills or mountains at a national park.
Seems like I naturally have little "hills" underneath the t shirt, they sort of add a more realistic hill depiction.  Well I know that is silly.

Have a terrific day!

Some young men as old as my sons try to flirt with me in the street or on the beach, even stalking me with filthy talk in the subway. I think I am also discriminated against by age.

Cheers,

barbie~~

Just do it.

Don't take it to heart, rude people can take on any guise and make any excuse they want whether it's age or something else. I am a gerontophile If that makes any sense, and I can politely say no to people under the age of 40 (my ideal age is 50+) just because my sexuality is designed that way and and there's nothing I can do about it.
Just a cis, hetero female who supports LGBTQIA+

I suppose there are people that do not feel comfortable in groups with a wide range of ages of participants.  There are also groups for specific age ranges, such as 20-30, teens, seniors, etc.

So if a group is setup for a specific age group then it makes sense for its members or participants to be in that age range.

For groups that are NOT setup for specific age ranges, that is, open participation, then for someone to give you the boot or an unwelcome status based on your age seems on the face of it age discriminatory.

I suggest seeking out more welcoming groups, although sometimes a specific group may give you what you need if only its door was open to you.  My sympathies to you.
