Had a student come up to me for advice, found out I am a pre op mtf and walked into my classroom. Not in one of my classes and saw something was on his mind. Asked me how I knew was transgender and told him. Then looked me in the face and said he has been bottling something up since he was 6 years old, knew he is transgender wanting to be a girl. Said to him I was like him finally coming out at age 20. Said he is scared to come out to his parents about it. Said I faced my fears and bottling it more will make it worse. Told him I will be there for him and said it is time to do it. I told him take it slow and be himself coming out to his parents. Was glad I listened to him, I like to help out anyone in this situation. Finally said he is going to do it tonight and I was right the bottling it up needed to stop.
