Thanks, Tracie for that wonderful Introduction.
You will find all kinds of information, advice, and support from everyone here.
I wanted to ask if you have considered what your journey will look like. Full transition to female, or maybe you are still figuring that out. If you haven't already done so, I would strongly suggest seeking out a therapist who has experience in gender identities. You will find they can be very helpful, not just in helping you understand what you are going through but also in helping you navigate the obstacles ahead.
If your goal is hormonal or surgical transition, you will need a diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria. The therapist can do that for you. Medical transition is considered a treatment for gender dysphoria, so it is a necessary diagnosis.
If your goal is just to socially transition, such as using a different name and expressing your feminine side without any medical aspects, you don't need the diagnosis, but a therapist can still be there to talk to and support you if you are having difficulties.
And of course, you have all of us to help you too. Susan's Place is a great place for information and support, just not quite as good as having someone you can talk to face-to-face about personal issues.
Have a look around at the various sub-forums and feel free to add your comments or questions.
See you around!
Hugs!
