So I have finally decided to explore the inner girl within.  It's been a long time coming but I'm
at a place in my life where I can finally get in touch with the feminine side of me, that has always existed from the time I was a boy. I'm sure this is a familiar story for many of you.  Better late than never I hope.  I am super excited about my journey and have been busy shopping for pretty things to wear.  Thank you Amazon though I am now comfortable buying lingerie in stores, my guilty pleasure 😊. I look forward to meeting and getting to know some of you.  I could really use a big sister as I am a bit clueless.  Hope to get to know you soon 💗

Thanks, Tracie for that wonderful Introduction.

You will find all kinds of information, advice, and support from everyone here.

I wanted to ask if you have considered what your journey will look like. Full transition to female, or maybe you are still figuring that out. If you haven't already done so, I would strongly suggest seeking out a therapist who has experience in gender identities. You will find they can be very helpful, not just in helping you understand what you are going through but also in helping you navigate the obstacles ahead.

If your goal is hormonal or surgical transition, you will need a diagnosis of Gender Dysphoria. The therapist can do that for you. Medical transition is considered a treatment for gender dysphoria, so it is a necessary diagnosis.

If your goal is just to socially transition, such as using a different name and expressing your feminine side without any medical aspects, you don't need the diagnosis, but a therapist can still be there to talk to and support you if you are having difficulties.

And of course, you have all of us to help you too. Susan's Place is a great place for information and support, just not quite as good as having someone you can talk to face-to-face about personal issues.

Have a look around at the various sub-forums and feel free to add your comments or questions.

See you around!

Hugs!

Lori Dee
My Life is Based on a True Story

Maybe the journey isn't so much about becoming anything.
Maybe it's about un-becoming everything that isn't really you,
so you can be who you were meant to be in the first place.

Welcome Tracie!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Be brave, be strong.  Try a little kindness.  I am a brown eyed brunette.

Hello Tracie

My name is Sarah B and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

A journey begins with one small step and it seems that you have began that journey, no matter how long it took to get to that first step.  Embracing your feminine side and enjoying the process of shopping for oneself is a joy to behold.  You're not alone on this path and there is a supportive community here ready to connect with you.  Here's to finding that perfect bra and exploring fabulous wigs!  Members of Susan's will enjoy sharing your journey.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always

That's so sweet of you Nala. Are you sure, I'm literally at ground zero on my journey.  😊

I would love all the advice you have to give.  How are you with makeup? 💄
Honestly I don't even know where to start.  😁💗

This is really a good site to go to for support. I see you buying lingerie from stores welcome to my world lol. I have also started to do this in my local store and can come here to talk about it and read other members experiences. 😊🌈
