I am being extremely, if not superhumanly dim here, but I cannot find the 'notify' button to click so I can 'watch' topics. Can someone put me out of my misery by overexplaining where it is?

And quotes you said. It should go to the alert. As the same with the thank you.

TanyaG

I can see a green heart 'bookmark' button, but not a notify one?

Thanks, this is my misunderstanding of how 'watched topics' works, which is mad because in the past I used to run a simple machines forum setup!

The upper right corner of the post. It probably says NO ALERTS OR EMAILS. Click that button and set your notifications.

This button is just ABOVE the first post for the topic or thread and is found as Lori mentioned in the upper right.

It may say NO ALERTS OR EMAILS.  Click that button then a pop up menu appears.  You can then select one of the options to what you want.  Selecting another option changes the selected option.  Your final setting will be displayed on the button, that is, it may no longer say NO ALERTS OR EMAILS.

Thank you Lori.

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

That sets the notifications for that thread only so you can follow that topic. The other notifications Dave mentioned in your Profile Settings is for the entire forum.

Yes.  Probably most people would be most interested in thread following and perhaps ignoring, I think that was Tanya was most interested in, if I understood her posting correctly.

But the profile settings offer more parameters and options that many may be interested in, for sure.

Thank you Lori.
