I don't know how old this photo is. Driving forklift I got a bit out of shape, and my weight went up to 180 pounds. Anyway, I'm guessing somewhere around 2000, the first female Halloween costume. The jeans were because of the weird fear that someone might want to check under my skirt.

I bought a hobby drill. My drill bits were to small for the 1/4 inch drill. Assembly Required.

I'm guessing 'Dorothy'. Love the blue gingham pinafore/apron. Thanks

I ended up ordering new buttons for the GI Joe shirt. The two middle ones are the original. The new buttons appear to be more to scale. They are just placed on to see how it looks. When I took the photo, it looked like it came out lighter. The shirt is darker than that, and the buttons almost match.

I found a chrome paint pen. Tested it out on a Barbie. The doll on the right was an enemy of my tomb raider. I have photos of them fighting 20 years ago. "The Bionic Woman" tv show had the fembots and this is my version. The dolls from "Six Million Dollar Man" and "The Bionic Woman" are about 13 inches tall, but the accessories should still fit for my Barbies.

Like I said, my leisure jacket is not in great shape. I have rust stains left where there used to be snaps. For some reason, the other part of the snap seems to be untouched. Since I can't find anything that would work with the existing snaps, I would have to replace the whole snap.

I wanted to see what I had for earrings, I bought some holders and spent some time taking the earring out of some drawer type thing and putting them onto holders. The Star Trek ones I wore to watch the parade, later noticing they were kind of rainbow. Surprising they are also about 20 years old.

My pirate faeries are kept in the cage. It creates a problem when they are flying around the house.

My Lara Croft is back on the shelf without the blue tape.

That is supposed to be Indiana Jones next to her. I just haven't dug up the right outfit yet.

Looks good, Michelle!

Lara has knobby knees like me!

My Kelly dolls found their way to the dollhouse.

It should make them easier to find when I want them.

The hitch on the GI Joe trailer has been repaired.

I opted to use a tube to put the eye bolt through. It is more prototype instead of the flat piece of plastic that was vertical and broke off. Just need to paint the tube. I needed to drill holes for the safety chains.

Nice work, Michelle. The chains add that little detail of realism. Looking good!

I haven't forgotten

The one I'm working on is on the right. That is the Palitoy Action Man Land Rover. I found a few cracks where it looked like somebody might have stepped on the middle of it. I pulled the axles with my clamps to close the cracks, and left it for the plastic to relax. I ordered a 1/10th scale RC pintle hook. Depending on how it looks, if the scale is close enough, I may order a few more pintle hooks.

The center one is the Group Action Land Rover. It looks like I need to reinforce the rear a bit in order to attach bumper guards.
On the left is the Geyperman Land Rover. It needs a hood and windshield.

All three need new stickers. I just need to design them in the computer and print them out on adhesive  backed paper. I've been wondering if I need to seal the printout with clear lacquer.

Thanks for sharing, Michelle. I have always enjoyed modeling and coming up with creative ways to make them look more realistic. I built a lot of tank models and would melt the fenders so they looked like they had been bent and straightened. Or a touch of brown modeling clay to the tracks to resemble mud.

The lacquer over the stickers is a good idea. Test it first because the solvent in the lacquer could make the ink run.

Trying to stay busy. The new pintle hitch arrived. The plastic one that was on the Land Rover was broken and I replaced it with a metal one. The Land rover has been glued and dried.

Considering continuing with putting hitches on the vehicles. I have a barbie horse trailer without a vehicle to tow it until now.

My second pintle hitch arrived. Some assembly required.

Thinking I should get some square tubing the right size and build some under bumper hitch receivers.
Michelle

Michelle_K

The horse trailer does work behind the Land Rover. The camper was just a Christmas decoration.

As long as I was doing photos, I wanted to see how other loads looked.

That trailer Was to be a prototype built from an erector set.

That's a great idea! In the past, I have found small square tubing in the welding supply stock area at the home improvement stores.

The hitch is assembled.

I have drawings and measurements of the ball hitches I had. There is no way I could make my own for less than the price paid for them. There is no under bumper receiver that I can find.
