It is disappointing that I find out things about the family through Face Book. My sister posted yesterday that my cousin had passed away. There was no information about a funeral.

We weren't really that close, so whether I go or not is not important. Putting it into words is a bit difficult. If going to the funeral of my cousin, most of the people there have never met me. Of those that have met me, it is likely no surprise to them that I would be wearing a skirt. Those are the ones that have already mistaken me for being female, the ones who had seen through the male masquerade.

Then there is the possibility, now that my sister knows that I dress as a female, that she would not want the embarrassment of her brother showing up wearing a dress. The result being, I am not told when the funeral is, or where it is.

That is perfectly understandable. The thing to remember is that funerals are not for the dead; they are for the living. They provide an opportunity to pay tribute and say goodbye to a loved one.

I have not been invited to several family reunions over the decades because of a feud between me and a brother. They were afraid that I might cause a scene, so they invited him and not me. I found out about them years after they passed. No one offered to invite me "next time". And to be honest, my life has not changed in any way by not going.

You are not alone. 🙂

I had been searching the house for my Sims 2 installation disks. I found the original sims disks, I will rename as Sims 1. I found the box with the sims 2 disks in my storage unit. I plan on putting all of them in the new laptop. Only problem is the Sims 1 may have such a small play window.

I had a problem playing the Sims 3 until I realized One Drive was sending my files to the cloud. Apparently, It looks like Windows 11 update turned one drive back on. Sims 2, Sims 3, and Sims 4, stores custom content in my documents folder. I need to remember to backup my Sims files to a folder outside of the documents folder. Windows also thinks my pictures should be stored in the cloud.

I ran into somewhat the same problem with my iPhone. I wanted to transfer my photos to my computer, and discovered they were in iCloud, and could not be transferred. I had to download my photos from the website. ICloud has been disabled in my iPhone.

Backing up my Sims games custom content is one reason to rename the files. In case I backup into the wrong folder.

I have run into similar issues.

In your OneDrive settings, you can specify what gets synced and what doesn't. Since I don't want my photos and app in the cloud, I turned that off. Now all that syncs are my desktop and settings. Then I signed out of OneDrive and never signed back in.

With iCloud Photos, I don't use the Windows photo app, so I have to log into iCloud, select my photos, and download them. Once I have them on my PC, I delete them either from my phone or while in iCloud. There are very few photos I keep on my phone for safety reasons.

I have found that other games will store content and save files in Documents, too. I'm on a desktop PC with three drives, so I use EaseUS Todo Backup to copy my Documents and important folders to the backup hard drive.

Sims 1, original, would not install on Windows 11. The Sims 2 installed, but had to run as administrator. The Sims 2 resized the display, so no problem viewing.
I have an older laptop running Windows XP, with the WiFi turned off. Sims 1 is 16 bit, so the detail is not that great. Installed and running on the XP laptop. The Sims 2 can also go on the XP laptop.

Michelle,

You might be able to run Sims 1 in Compatibility Mode. You can make it run as Windows 8, or see what other options might be available.

I'm a bit confused. I spent about 6 hours with a psychologist, and was told I have enough autism symptoms that I can say I have autism. I would need more testing before I could get a medical diagnosis of autism. I also have signs of ADHD, but would need more testing.
The psychologist is recommending to my VA provider that I get a karyotype test for Klinefelter Syndrome.

I already had a request for the karyotype at the VA provider. I think I will need to contact her again and explain that I have been busy with the bladder stone and the foot problem. See if I can get an appointment with an endocrinologist that knows about Klinefelter syndrome.

Just sent a note to the psychologist at the VA, informing him about my previous therapy sessions.

I need to find our drop safe in the storage trailer, and see if my grade school report cards are still in there. And contact my sister and see if she will write a letter explaining my late speech development or delayed walking.

Interesting that she didn't approve of the way I acted while we were growing up, and now she will defend the actions of Democrats, yet still hasn't stated that she supports transgender.
Michelle

Did I mention that I considered firing my providers and finding someone who will listen to me. I just need to figure out how to do it.

Lori Dee

Contact the Patient Advocate. Tell them that you would like to see someone in your local community because the long drive is too stressful for you.

That way, you are not pointing fingers or accusing anyone of misconduct, and they will be more inclined to help you. It worked for me so far.

I was doing some reading, another medical condition. If I'm right, my maternal grandfather had it, referred to as a trick knee. After sitting a bit, my knees and ankles would pop into place when standing.
I think there was even an x-ray 30 years ago where the wrist joint had separated while wearing a cast for my broken wrist. I'm somewhat left handed, so it was the left wrist that I broke long ago. I never did ask the doctor if he could tell that the recent breakage was actually the second time I broke that wrist.

Hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. I heard that nobody wants to get that medical diagnosis, as it causes insurance premiums to rise.

My variation is slipping of the ankle while walking, and suddenly it is painful to walk until I get the ankle joint back where it belongs. Or my foot cramp during the night is actually due to the joint slipping.

To be honest, the right ankle got knocked out of place when a pile of boards hit my leg, and it may not have healed properly. On the other hand, it might have been easier to pop out of place due to weakened muscles.

What else is there? The double hernia? The back pain while using the bathroom sink?

Nighttime foot and leg cramps can be a circulation issue. My ex-wife was in a motorcycle accident that badly damaged her left leg (hip to ankle). She would get severe charley horses (cramps) in her thigh, calf, and foot.

A German doctor recommended taking Vitamin E capsules (1,000 I.U.) before bedtime. She did that for two weeks, and the cramps just stopped. She kept taking the Vitamin E for several years afterward and never had any more issues with it.

It doesn't help the bones, muscles, or ligaments, like you describe. It helps with blood circulation in the legs and arms. Might be worth a shot. It is cheaper than a doctor's appointment if it works. 😁

I went to the storage trailer yesterday. unfortunately there is brush around the back of the trailer, and my legs got scratched a bit. I'll need to clean a walkway to the trailer door. I finally found my older roller skates. The wheels turn a bit, but looks like they need new bearings.
I did find the safe, but what I was looking for was not in there.

I brought back some parts that were to control a home entertainment system, bought new, years ago, never used and now obsolete. My old laptop might have the right connector.

I finally got some higher quality nail polish, and some rubber gloves for washing dishes. It has been over a week and the polish is still on my nails. The polish doesn't seem to help much with the brittle nails.

Quote from: Michelle_K on September 29, 2025, 08:28:10 PMThe polish doesn't seem to help much with the brittle nails.

I have found that to be true, too. I tried using nail hardeners (clear polish) as a bottom and top coat, but that didn't help much. It was better, but not the best.

Then my friend gave me two nail polishes that she didn't need anymore. One is a metallic polish and the other is a clear hardener with glitter in it (both from L.A. Color). I put the metallic on and let it dry for a couple of hours, then apply a coat of the clear hardener. It works very well, and I love the look. The glitter in the top coat makes the metallic polish sparkle. My nails seem to last almost two weeks like that... if I am not abusing them by washing gravel. 😁

I think you just need to experiment with different brands or maybe different combinations until you find what works. I have had good luck with L.A. Color nail polish. Better than Revlon or some other brands.

I was all ready to write, and then I started second guessing myself. Might be due to my dad twisting around anything that was said, Like, I know what you said but that was not what you meant. Some statement that he might have made about me not being lovable, not deserving to be loved. Yet, he could express his love for my sisters. One might conclude that I would wish I was a girl to share the love he had for my sisters. It would be the wrong conclusion.

Without knowing my history, it can not be said that this or that caused my dysphoria. I was a problem child, a bit slow in learning. I had difficulty understanding, autistic, and if hereditary, at least one parent was also autistic and may have had difficulty explaining things to me. When I was two, my newborn sister, born in the farmhouse, had deformities. It would be difficult to understand a need to get jackets on to take my sister to the hospital, where she would later die from pneumonia.
From then on I am a reminder that my sister had died, and my dad couldn't handle her death. I am told how great her school grades would have been, and I am expected to get excellent grades in school. I call it competing with a ghost.
There is one other complication, I also acted like a girl. Actions that could be considered disrespectful, thought to remind my parents of my sister that had died. Actions that would not be tolerated, even though they were completely natural to me.

If I mention that I was falsely accused of having sex with my cousin, and her brother decided the proper punishment was to sexually molest me, would you then conclude that was where my genital dysphoria comes from. The problem is that the genital dysphoria was there long before I was sexually molested.
Michelle

I meant to add that the trauma increased the genital dysphoria.

Got my pre-operation exam on Friday, October 3, 2025. I'm good to go with the operation. I even got a prescription for a nebulizer. I didn't realize the prescription is sent to the pharmacist. Prior to this I was given written prescriptions. I think this way is better, the pharmacist is not guessing what is written on the prescription slip.

I'm kind of wondering if it is common that a male pharmacist, assuming I'm female has a need to explain how to put in the medication and attach the breathing tube. He even had me watch a video with him. All I had to do was look at the photo on the box and knew how to put it together. I wonder if it had anything to do with me being a blonde.

I seem to have less lung pain since using the nebulizer. Now I just need to figure out when to be using it.

Oooh Michelle, honestly, I'd play along and if he's cute and that attentive, I'd happily "pretend" I need to be nebulized and do the tutorial again next time. 😉

Lol, glad to hear it's helping with your lungs though, that's the real win!
