Starting to work on the Gothic Witch gown.

That is a 9 inch by 6 inch opening on the front side of the gown. The way the lining is attached to the gown means it is easier to work on the lining through the hole on the front. It had somehow ended up on the floor of my wardrobe. I had thought rodents had damaged it, but how it is fitting together, I now think it was moth worms.

I had remarked to my online therapist about the coincidence that the hole is in the same area as my hernia that bulges. Another coincidence, I'm starting to repair it when in a few days my hernia will be repaired.

Sometimes there are health issues that are dismissed as being normal. I've lived with them for so long that I may ignore them. Watching some you-tube videos, I might see something that connects, for instance the trick knee. Just something that I inherited from my mother's side of the family, since I remember a story about my grandfather having a trick knee. Doing research, now that I have a proper name for it, I can understand the need for wearing boots, and the wrist braces. I even have the elastic knee braces. None of the joint problems have been discussed with a doctor. In fact, The braces would be what the doctor would likely prescribe.
Besides the joint problems, including the back problems, is the hernia caused by a week pelvic floor.

I'm not one to run to a doctor for any little thing. Besides, I would need to go to a specialist for the proper diagnosis. Mostly, a specialist needs a referral.

Dear Michelle:
I always wish to be very careful with medical self-diagnosis when

I'm back home after my hernia surgery. I stayed overnight and drove myself home after picking up the prescription pain killers at the pharmacy. For me staying overnight was by request by me, as I know I have low blood pressure without medication, and a 24 hour wait before I could drive. My blood pressure did drop below 100 during the night, and being in the hospital, I was being monitored and given proper care.
I had stayed overnight after the bladder surgery too, and the nurse there got very concerned when my blood pressure dropped below 100. In both cases I was back up to 117 when released to go home.

Now that the hernia has been repaired, I don't need to hid that bulge, and can tuck my shirt in.

Good news... thank you for your update.
Please be certain take your time and follow your doctor's orders

Great to hear you finally got that behind you. I think you made a wise decision to stay overnight before driving home. Even if the blood pressure were not a concern, your body will feel tired from the anesthesia for a while.

Take it easy and rest up. No roller skating for a while. 😆

Now my body has to get used to my internals being in the proper place. I think there was something about being able stand on just one foot, but not the other if you had a hernia. Like I could balance on my right foot while soaping up my left leg, but could not balance on my left foot, or the other way around. Might be why I wobbled a bit while walking.

Anyway, thank you for your support. It means a lot to me.

I went shopping this morning, got some exercise pushing the shopping cart around. Knowing what my pain killers are and not having much for pain, I decided to wait until I got back home before taking them. The bottles say as needed, but I decided to use them as I only have enough for a few days. I'm thinking that they will prevent some pain.

I get some weird dreams, and I was reminded of some old tv show. I think the show was called "Lexx", with the giant living dragonfly spaceship. In the dream, I ended up on some planet that was men only, and I had to prove I had male genitals. I don't know if this tv show had the planet where heterosexual marriage was outlawed.

Rocky Horror picture show:
Transsexual is a planet located in the galaxy of Transylvania. It is a planet of night and has moon-drenched shores, home to Doctor Frank N. Furter and his assistants, Riff-Raff and Magenta. Upon the latter two's return, the entire Frankenstein Place was transported to the planet.

I had forgot all about lex. One of those shows I remember liking but can't remember any details.
Glad the hernia operation went well.

I wonder if part of that dream was due to the fact that in the hospital to check on how I was healing, my hospital gown had to be lifted, exposing the fact that I had male genitals.

Then there was the deal with the walker. Probably physical therapist, brought a walker into my room, I mentioned I did not know how to operate the walker. I pushed it as far as outside my room door, and we did the walk around the halls without the walker. By that time I think she realized I was not kidding when I said I did not know how to operate the walker.

It had been months ago that I requested from my VA provider an autism evaluation. It was to be a 4 hour session. Looking at my appointment, another appointment had been added starting 2 hours earlier. Nowhere did it state what the session was for. I ended up spending 6 hours of testing
Looking over the psychologists report, this time I saw it, right at the top it states Psychological evaluation.

That would be why it states I would need further testing for autism and ADHD. I didn't get sent to the principals office for disrupting the class, therefore I could not have ADHD. I'm transgender, my symptoms of ADHD would be like any other girl, not like a boy's. Besides, autism and ADHD symptoms conflict, however that does not mean they cancel each other out.
Both my parents have died, I can't bring either one to my session to verify that I had learning disabilities. The psychologist has reduced my social problems to childhood hearing impairment.

The psychologist does not have your hearing test records from school, so they accept your word for it. But won't take your word that you had trouble learning in school.

What a jerk.

To be fair, I reported my hearing loss when I got my hearing aids. Since then, it has been in my VA medical records. I used to drop medical expenses and other bills into a file cabinet. Most have since been scanned into the computer, and I can find the bill dated 03/11/93 for my hearing test.

Back in 1984, I changed my name. I went to the high school to see if I could get a name change on my diploma. I was told that the name on my diploma must remain the same as the name I used while attending school. I never did check with the trade school. I did find one report card, and that is for the trade school.
Due to my name change, it has a different name.

My determination that it would be nice to have certificates on my wall with the proper name, meant using a copy machine, whiteout, and a proper ink pen to make my own certificates. Just thinking how easy it would be to edit the name in the computer and print out the report card with my proper name.

Finally got that posted.
I've been working on sewing the Gothic Witch costume. The front inner lining is mostly done, with just a few small holes where I have missing fabric.
Pinning the outside, I found larger pieces missing. It is like a corduroy, and wants to curl. Pinning the pieces together I can see big holes where fabric is missing. I might try checking a thrift store to find something made with the same type fabric.

It is slow going as I have to stop and lean back to rest. And it isn't helping much to sew black material with black thread.
