Hello!

GG is not my real name, but I like being called GG. Someone once called me the gay gardener, and it stuck.

Lovely to be a part of this site. I've been transitioning for the past 13 years and life is good. I've come on this website a lot in thr past but never committed to getting a profile.

Would love to communicate with others, share advice, and continue with this wonderful community. This place has always been a great resource.

Cheers!

Lori Dee

Hello GG,

I'm Lori Dee. Welcome to Susan's Place!

Thank you for that wonderful introduction. "Long-time lurker, first-time poster".  ;D   I am glad you stepped out and joined the community. You have a lot of experience that can help us learn more about our journeys.

You may be aware that the site crashed back on New Year's Day and a lot of data, accounts, and functionality of the site got broken. Our staff has been working diligently behind the scenes to restore function and old member accounts and data. So you may have noticed some changes if you were around before then. So allow me to give you the Formal Welcome Message.

We strive to make this a safe place to find information and to share your thoughts and comments. We have members here with a wide range of experiences from all over the world. No matter who you are, you are always welcome at Susan's Place.

Clicking the HOME button will take you to a page where you can see all of the various sub-forums. Feel free to comment and share your experiences too.

Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL-AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.

I will add some links here that are important for new members. Pay special attention to the links in RED. When you reach 15 posts, you will be able to send and reply to private messages and add an avatar to your profile.

Until then if you have any questions about the Susan's Place site and the Forums, please feel free to contact me at  LoriDee605@outlook.com

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!

Hello GG

My name is Sarah B and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

I would assume you like gardening to be called GG!  However, you mention that you have taken your time in transitioning.  What I would like you know what have you done over that period of time to change your life around, but only if you feel comfortable in telling your story

Please remember that what you say on Susan's can be read by anyone on the internet.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Welcome, the more gardeners the better! This has not been a good year for gardens in the UK. Even the zucchini didn't do well!

And thank you everyone else here too! Would love to chat with some other people as time goes on.

It looks like the chat itself is on discord. I just deleted discord. So I suppose I'll be here on the site a bit more!

Someone here brought up the word "lurker." Lol, yep. I've been a lurker on here for a while. Nice to have an account and be able to interact and donate. Woohoo!

Hi GG.

Welcome to the site, I was a lurker for some time too before I came in.

I just did a quick search and it doesn't look like we have a Garden forum (unless I screwed up the search ??? ).  Maybe it's time to start one?

This morning we are going out to salvage what we can from the hard freeze we just had this week.  Outdoor gardening is over for now but still plenty to chat about.

Again, Welcome!!

Paulie

There are several posts about gardening in the Hobbies Forum. @ChrissyRyan and @Maid Marion might be interested in those discussions, too. If there is enough interest, we can start a forum for it. Until then you could start a thread for gardeners and invite others to join in.
