Hi Moonflower It's good to hear that Beth is recovering well from her surgery. It' been a long time since my surgery and it is very hard to remember the exact details on my post op surgery. Given the date 1/16 it's not even two weeks. So time is the factor in recovering from the operation.
I had my surgery and I had two weeks to recover, I was in bed, shower to relieve the pain or I was sitting. I know that it was mentioned about sitting on a cushion or donut to be comfortable, But I do not remember if I did or not.
Two weeks post surgery I was back at work as I needed the money and I wanted to beat others back to work in recovery time. While back at work, I walked very gingerly and I was standing up all day. Yes I did sit and that was on the way to work and back by train about two hours of sitting. I was a draftsperson and one stood up while you drew your plans in pencil or ink. When I had to sit, I have the sense, that I did it very carefully. So all in all I was not sitting down very much.
I was 32 and I guess I recovered very quickly. Maybe a
kneeling chair might help, but the cost and time might indicate it would not be of much use. This is just a thought on my part.
Maybe some more basic pain killers, sleep, shower, standing and time might or will help.
Take care and I know things will improve with time.
