Trump terminates 'all remaining Biden Era US Attorneys' in chilling vow to 'clean house immediately'

In a post on TruthSocial Tuesday evening, President Donald Trump announced that his Justice Department will move to terminate all Biden administration era U.S. Attorneys in an effort to end what Trump has deemed the politicization of the Justice Department.

"Over the past four years, the Department of Justice has been politicized like never before. Therefore, I have instructed the termination of ALL remaining "Biden Era" U.S. Attorneys. We must "clean house" IMMEDIATELY, and restore confidence. America's Golden Age must have a fair Justice System - THAT BEGINS TODAY!" Trump wrote.

Dozens of Justice Department officials across cities like Washington and New York City have resigned or been fired since Trump's inauguration.

The Associated Press reported earlier this month that top Justice Department officials had demanded the names of thousands of agents who worked in some capacity on Capitol riot cases.

Two lawsuits, in federal court in Washington on behalf of the anonymous agents, demand an immediate halt to the collection and potential dissemination of names of investigators who participated in probes of the Jan. 6, 2021, riot at the U.S. Capitol.

Trump and his newly minted Attorney General Pam Bondi have already been making waves within the Justice Department, including moving to dismiss bribery charges against New York City Mayor Eric Adams, causing several prosecutors to resign in protest from the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York.

Biden asked most of Trump's U.S. Attorneys to resign, the ones that didn't, he fired.  Attorney General Janet Reno demanded the resignations of all 93 U.S. attorneys early, in the Clinton administration.  Obama and Bush, also let go of a number of U.S. Attorneys.

It's not unusual to for the incoming administration to "clean house".  In fact, it's the norm.
