From a personal perspective, "Christ's Transgender" to me is a deeply meaningful way of affirming both my faith and my identity. It symbolizes the truth that, as a transgender woman, I belong to Christ just as I am, and nothing about my gender identity separates me from His love, grace, or salvation.

My identity and faith are not in conflict, there is often a struggle between identity and faith due to societal and religious conditioning. But the essence of the gospel, the New Covenant, is that salvation is through faith in Christ, not through conforming to human made expectations.

I am Christ's, fully, completely, eternally, just as much as any other believer.

When I think about being "Christ's Transgender", it reflects:

A personal testimony of my faith, my journey of walking with Christ as a transgender woman, knowing that He sees me, loves me, and has called me His own.

A declaration of belonging, an affirmation that my transgender identity is not a mistake but part of who I am, and Christ has redeemed all of me.

A rejection of shame, refusing to believe the lie that my identity disqualifies me from grace.

Instead, I claim my place in the family of God, knowing His love is unconditional.

A commitment to live authentically, not hiding who I am but embracing myself as God's creation while growing spiritually and personally in Him.

When Jesus walked the earth, He embraced those who were cast out, misunderstood, and rejected. His ministry wasn't about enforcing societal norms, it was about restoring people to God through love and grace. As a transgender woman, I might find a personal connection to His love for those who were pushed to the margins, because He sees me, just as He saw them.

A journey of transformation in Christ and
being transgender is I often described it as a journey, of self discovery, authenticity, and becoming who I truly am.

Similarly, I describe faith as also a journey, one of transformation and renewal in Christ.

Not because I need to "change" to be accepted, but because I am growing into the fullness of who God has made me to be (Philippians 1:6).

Being "Christ's Transgender" symbolizes my journey of faith as a trans woman walking with Christ, a testimony of God's love that is bigger than human judgment, a declaration that I am both transgender and unconditionally loved by Christ!

What does being both transgender and a follower of Christ mean to you on a personal level?

Being transgender is who I am. Following Christ's teachings is what I do. And what I do makes the person who I am better.

That is how I live.

Body, mind, and spirit must be in harmony to experience peace.

Some things that I learned through my membership in the Rosicrucian Order (AMORC) involve how these three facets of our being interact and are interdependent upon each other.

"We know that the aim of all human beings is to perfect ourselves, to become better people. Therefore, constantly endeavor to awaken and express the virtues of the soul that animates you. In doing so, you will contribute to your own evolution while serving the cause of humanity." ~ Rosicrucian Manuscript

I looked it up and found that Rosicrucianism often highlights Christ's teachings as a path to inner transformation and spiritual enlightenment.

Good stuff! 👌🏻

This. if only church legalists understood that it's not about rituals, buildings, political power, or simply being right or wrong.

The kingdom is about salvation, not condemnation, it's about faith, righteousness, and the presence of God within believers.

🌿 The Spirit Gives Life 🌿

John 6:63 says, "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh is of no avail. The words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life."

As a transgender woman, I find deep meaning in these words. For so long, I wrestled with a world that told me my identity was only skin-deep that who I am was defined solely by my physical form.

But Jesus' words remind me that life, truth, and identity are not bound by the limitations of the body but are given by the Spirit.

Transitioning is not about rejecting who I was; it is about embracing who I have always been. It is about aligning my outer self with the person God created me to be.

My journey is not just physical it is spiritual, emotional, and deeply personal.

The Spirit moves in transformation, bringing me into greater wholeness, not just in body, but in heart, mind, and soul.

God's love is not conditional on appearances. His Spirit breathes life into each of us, guiding us toward authenticity and truth.

My journey is part of that divine unfolding, a testament to the Spirit's work in shaping me into the woman I was always meant to be.

To all transgender siblings and all who struggle with identity: You are not a mistake.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Your spirit, your heart, and your mind are sacred. God sees you, loves you, and walks with you.

No matter where you are on your journey, know this, your identity is not just flesh and bone.

It is Spirit. And the Spirit gives life.

So true.

In ancient times, people understood that we are animated by spirit. From the story of the woman of Samaria we know that "God" means "Spirit"; not "a spirit", but as it stands in the original Greek, simply "Spirit" — that is, all Spirit, or Spirit in the Universal.

In Greek biblical texts, the word for "spirit" is "pneuma." Its translation is also associated with "breath," "breathing," and "wind." Thus, we get our English words "pneumonia" and "pneumatic."

"And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."  ~  (Genesis 2:7)

The Spirit of God not only creates, it is also the source of all life. It is the spirit within us that keeps us, and all other living things, alive.

"This is what God the LORD says— the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out, who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it, who gives breath to its people, and life to those who walk on it."  ~ (Isaiah 42:5)

"As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead." ~ (James 2:26)

"Then shall the dust return to the earth as it was: and the spirit shall return unto God who gave it."  ~  (Ecclesiastes 12:7)

Jesus said, "God is Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."  ~  (John 4:24)

This is from several articles that I had written a few years ago and had on my website. I have been "in the process" of rewriting them for clarity, so I marked those pages as hidden. I wanted to respond to Lilis' post, so I copied a snippet and edited it on the fly.  ;D

Fairly written.  Thanks!

As for spirituality.  We really need it today.  My grandbaby is in for surgery today.  Born at 23 weeks in February, she's up to 4.5lbs from 680grams.  Procedure today is to close a hole in her tiny little heart.  My daughter and the baby are modern medicine miracles.  My daughter is healing well and it is amazing the mothering instinct she has!  So pleased and proud.  Cuddles are the best!

I've been non active LDS for 10 years or so.  Yet, I dusted off a blessing this morning according to my rules. My sister-in-law put in a word at the temple for her too.  Like a candle at St. Josephs (My Dad and Mother-in-law were Roman Catholic.R.I.P.)

I am not a religious person. I tend to think that a lot of the "teachings" come from people a long time ago trying to tell people how to live, in order to control them.

However, that does not mean I don't believe in something after. And from speaking to people of faith...I think we can't really prove the negative.

For me, if you believe in a creator, a deity... Jesus, Christianity, Catholicism... whatever it may be. I believe it is up to the individual to find their relationship with their creator. Not to be told by some Texas good ol' boy what they should believe in, because they want a new Ferrari.

I think that it is a massively personal thing. You don't need to be sat in a building, on a Sunday, having someone preach at you how every deviant in the world is heralding the end of days. You just need to be at peace, with whoever and whatever you believe in. It's no one else's place to judge. The only time you will be judged, if you believe in that... is when you shuffle off this mortal coil. When you have to account for your life.

The truth is... no one knows. You just live your life according to what you believe in, and what lets you sleep at night.

That is why I became a mystic. The ancients did not refer to spirits in the plural because they believed that all spirit is the same spirit and it is sacred. It is the same spirit called "The Holy Spirit" and is the Vital Life Force that animates us all. It is what keeps living things alive.

Mystics do not seek the Divine outside of themselves somewhere when it resides within us. We look inward to embrace that connection. That is why one's relationship with the Divine (by whatever name one chooses) is the most intimate of relationships. It is how the Almighty knows our every thought, word, and deed.

We do not concern ourselves with a judgment in the hereafter. The Laws of Karma are in place to teach us in the here and now. The things we think, say, and do put these laws in motion and we do indeed "reap what we sow". When we continue to have the same problems over and over again, it is almost always something that we set in motion through our own actions. When we realize this and correct the wrong thinking that led to wrong behavior we no longer need to repeat that lesson. As we become better people, we teach others how to become better people, so that they too can "finish their lessons" in this lifetime.

In this way, each of us is preparing for the next life and the next set of lessons. Over many generations, humans begin to understand and they evolve mentally and spiritually. As more and more of the population evolves, so does the human race. Eventually, we evolve to a point where we can take our place in the Divine Plan.

I see what you're saying, Lori, but these days I can't help feeling we're all going backwards. I think we're a very long way off from the kind of enlightenment you're talking about. Even though it would probably be the best thing we could do. There are still too many people full of hate, and blame, and reliance on a powerful nutter, to make that ever be a thing.

I do agree with you that we all have a spark of divinity within us. The sad truth is that too many people are willing to give it away to someone who has a spiritual experience with a sunbed.

We do seem to be going backward at times. But look at how far we have come. It isn't about religion or politics. Societies develop rules of conduct to improve the human condition. The earliest rules addressed diet and hygiene, (Book of Leviticus). As society improved and expanded, more laws were needed.

Throughout history, there have been a few people who had the enlightenment to pass this information along to the illiterate public. Although today's population is more able to read, many have no interest in self-improvement. You have small groups who are interested in physical fitness and health. Others are interested in a proper diet. Some are interested in spirituality. But these remain small groups within the world's population. It takes time for humans (as a whole) to learn that these things are important.

Another small group is one of people who are interested in helping other people learn these things, or at least why they are important.
