Every single person who made the decision to potentially give their life to fight for what's right... has my undying respect. Both with us and not with us. Veterans are people with a strength of character, force of will, and generosity of spirit to stand up for what they believe in. Often treated poorly because of shifting political climates, all over the world, their sacrifice and belief in something greater than themselves stands the test of time in so many ways.
I mean I guess that makes me a veteran, too, but I never saw myself that way. I just lurked about under the oceans for a few years. To me... things like this are a step above anything I ever did. And... yeah... thank you for your service. It takes a lot of guts to put your life on the line to defend the defenceless. In whatever theatre of conflict you find yourself.
