Hello everyone, I'm henry chan, I'm just regular person, and I have a friend or cousin that transitions from male to female,

I always give them support and joining this site ,so I can give them more support and sharing experience,

I don't know what to say, my head feels blank...

TanyaG

Welcome, Henry and good to see someone here who's supporting a friend or family. It can be difficult to know how to support someone who is trans, but they'll be extremely grateful for it and so please join the 'family' here. If your head feels blank (which is understandable, most of us have had blank moments too), then maybe asking a few questions about how you feel about helping and about how your support might help most would be a good start? There's always people here who are ready to answer and between us we've had just about every experience and then some.

April Marie

Welcome, Henry!! It is so wonderful that you are supporting someone going through transition. Speaking from my own experience, having friends and family to accept and support me has been invaluable to me on this amazing journey of discovery. We're here to help, too.
With much love,

 April

Welcome, Henry -- Great to see somebody putting in the effort on behalf of those they love. I'm impressed.

Welcome Henrychan!

Always stay cheerful, be polite, kind, and understanding. Accepting yourself as the woman you are is very liberating.  Never underestimate the appreciation and respect of authenticity.  Help connect a person to someone that may be able to help that person.  Be brave, be strong.  A TRUE friend is a treasure.  Relationships are very important, people are important, and the sooner we all realize that the better off the world will be.  Try a little kindness.  Be generous with your time, energy, wisdom, and resources.   Inconvenience yourself to help someone.   I am a brown eyed, brown haired woman.

Hello henrychan,

I'm Lori Dee. Welcome to Susan's Place!

Thank you for that wonderful introduction.

We strive to make this a safe place to find information and share your thoughts and comments. No matter who you are, you are always welcome at Susan's Place.

We are especially happy to have someone like you here to support someone special. If you are interested, we have a forum set up for Significant Others to share advice and experiences. That space is set aside for friends, allies, and family of transgender or intersex people. You are certainly welcome to read and comment in the other forums as well.

Please keep in mind when posting that this is an ALL-AGES PUBLIC Forum and the internet never forgets. Do not post anything that you do not want to be made public.

I will add links below that are important for new and returning members. Pay special attention to the links in RED.

Until then, if you have any questions about the Susan's Place site and the Forums, please feel free to contact me at    LoriDee605@outlook.com

Hi Henry

My name is Sarah and I would also like to formally, Welcome you to Susan's Place!

I see that other members of Susan's have also welcomed you as well.

It's really good to see someone joining to support a friend or cousin through something so important.  You do not need to have all the right words, just being here shows how much you care.  That kind of support means more than you might realise.

Susan's is a great place to learn and connect with others.  You will find a lot of helpful information here and people willing to share their experiences.  Over time you'll pick up the knowledge you need to offer even more support and understanding.

Once you feel comfortable here, it would be appreciated if you add a little bit more about yourself in the other forums and threads.  I would appreciate it very much as, I'm always interested in learning something new about new members.

In addition members of Susan's will more than likely will discuss problems or issues that are similar to yours as most have experienced these issues as well.

Take care and all the best for the future.

Once again, Welcome to Susan's Place!

Best Wishes Always
