Hi, I came to find this place when i wanted to find the right surgent for me to see for a good surgery and cost. Somehow this site came up. When i was young i knew i was in different gender then my birth. I know what i needed to do but just dont have the resource to do it. It been hard for me cause i have to do thing that is safe. I been throught a lot in my life. I was in military to hope to go to war and may end my life there but it didnt happen. So, the only way for me now is to be me and accept who im cause before i just be what everyone want me to be.. and find myself half dead, unhappy, and go through so much problem. However, now im on my way being myself i feel better and think clearly. Everything in my life seem to go as plan and very happy.. All i need is surgery and money lol other then that im good :p

Hello:

Welcom to Susan's.  For me, I have found Susan's a great place to talk things over with and to "listen" in on what others have to say and learn from their experiences.

Again welcome and I look forward to your posts.

If you're FtM, born2 (and I think, from a previous post, you are), then surgery is not totally necessary to help you feel good about yourself. I mean, it helps, but testosterone works some miracles in that direction. After a fairly short time on T most people will pass as male even with having to bind breasts. I actually had a hard time at the bank one day when I still had breasts and wasn't even binding them; they wouldn't believe that I was the person on my (female) ID because my face and voice had changed so much.

That can help you get through the time until you can afford surgery. Your first step should probably be to see a therapist to see if you do have a GID diagnosis, then see about getting prescribed testosterone. Some guys who can afford it get chest surgery first, but many do not. I had my chest surgery about 6 months into testosterone, so was looking male before I had the surgery. I hated binding too, so it did some major messing with people's minds for a while when I wouldn't bother binding.

yes, I did go through the process. However, since im on the island everything here is expensive. I think about going to canada for chest surgery but that about 8000 with airline ticket and the cost of surgery. I know 8000 doesnt seem much. However here job pay less and cost of living are high. rent apart or room cost about 800 and up per month. So have to live with family. pay here range from 6.25/hr and up.. if lucky can get a pay about 1000 or so.. even then u got bill and everything.
people who know me from the past say im female to people i know now. so have few people i work with that come and question me. The bank know me as male but once see my id they stay quiet. Even trying to have a job seem so hard. I got people know me as a male willing to offer me a good job. But my id and passport still female. N here its hard to find anyone like me. so funny i see my friend. He gay and i think he forgot me cause i havent see him for long time. so funny he came by to check me out. i was laughing and shaking my head. I well maybe i tell him who im next time if i see him again.
