I will have to try having some make up on the next time I go.

Only thing is, is that I may end up having to go during a lunch break and I won't be able to use any makeup since I'll have to come from work and then also return to work.

But we will see. Maybe I'll be able to figure something out to wear I can use even the smallest amount of makeup when I go in.

Maybe it's time to start thinking about coming out at work.

I know it's not easy, and only you can know when (or if) it feels safe and right.

For me, coming out has felt just as affirming as starting hormone therapy.

Sometimes I wonder if people would've responded the same way had I come out before GAHT.

Take some makeup remover pads with you. You can wipe off the makeup before going back to work. You won't need much makeup, so it should be quick to remove if you need to.

Almost all the people whose response mattered to me have long since passed away. I haven't told my daughter of my intention to begin GAHT sometime this summer. And I probably won't unless she notices something that piques her interest enough to ask. For me, this will be an experiment. If I experience all the colors of the rainbow (as Ashley suggests HRT was for her), the experiment will metamorphose into the woman I believe I am. I hang onto every word you and Annaliese and so many others have shared on this site regarding your own journeys. I must admit, I am terrified of beginning my own journey. But I just gots to know.
