Dolly Parton Gets "Very Emotional" Talking About Her Husband 2 Months After His Death

Dolly Parton opened up about the loss of her husband, Carl Dean, two months after his passing. The "Jolene" singer made an appearance on the Today Show from Dollywood and shared how she's coping in the months following his death.

She attempted to put on a brave face and be her usual upbeat self, but there was a moment in the conversation when she held back tears when the interviewer, Savannah Guthrie, asked her about Dean. "Oh, you know what, I get very emotional when people bring it up," she said. "But we were together 60 years. I've loved him since I was 18 years old."

Life without her partner is going to be "a big adjustment just trying to change patterns and habit," Parton shared. The singer and business mogul is not concerned about keeping herself busy. "I'll do fine, and I'm very involved in my work and that's been the best thing that could happen to me," she said. "But I'll always miss him, of course, and always love him. He was a great partner to me."
